You will meet a lot of great women who are divorced, have kids, or both

Fashion advice - yes. Although tastes vary, getting feedback about your appearance and profile pics from straight girls is valuable. Women are pretty good at knowing what women find physically attractive. Other parts of dating - less so. It's like women who say they hate playing games even though they themselves play games and respond to them. Usually a woman will tell you what she wants to want, not what she actually responds to and there can be a gap.

I think most men are just trash at reading body language and flirting. You catch her looking. You make extended eye contact. You give her a smile. She smiles back You approach. Or you smile and she gives you an annoyed look and you don't.

Digging up dirt on dates is something almost everyone does and it's not polite to admit to.

The Lifestyle is self selecting, especially those that go to big parties. The women who go to events that will involve taking their clothes off usually have good, if not amazing bodies while the men don't care. This is true of public pools and beaches too. Women who don't feel confident about their bodies tend to cover up, while the "dude who won't take off his shirt" usually is in the top 10 percent of.BMI.

Women do get horny when they ovulate. One imagines at least some fertile women would be able to convince men to knock them up.

I think a child is a bigger commitment than a marriage.

The problem with women today is they don't throw themselves at men like Gru who have round torsos and tiny legs.

The reality is people of both genders settle, especially if they themselves are average and attracting average people.

If you have assets, sign a prenup. If you want a stay at home wife/mom, be prepared to pay if it goes South. Especially if you're married 20 years or something. If you're married 2 years and she has a job too, you're not gonna be giving her half your income for life. Only have kids if you want to support your kids.

I think there is and will remain a huge gap between past work and present work. I think most people understand that dating anyone in hard or soft sex work is challenging. It gets more complicated when it comes down to "everyone has a past". I mean honestly a lot of women in the middle walk a tightrope of believing it's ok for women to do sex work and it shouldn't be illegal, but also not wanting to be friends with SW or especially have their boyfriend be around one.

Freedom. I mean it depends exactly how taken you are. Being in a relationship where you hang out 2-3 times a week and have sex every time you hang, but don't have to explain where you are and who you are hanging with the rest of the time is still quite free, and a lot of men like this level. You can't really travel to Europe for a month without talking to her about it and I'm assuming monogamy. I would say the next level is cohabitation with separate finances. You can still drop $300 on shoes or…

I've actually noticed men calling each other handsome and king a lot more and I like it. It's never attractive for men or women to overrate themselves.

"Focus on yourself" means find ways to be happy without a partner. It also implies you should put effort and energy into your non-romantic friendships. A man who is happy with a full life and solid social circle is more attractive to a man clearly looking for a woman to help make him happy. Also, the fact is not everyone will find a good partner, especially in the short run. So finding ways to be happy while you look will save your mental health.

Yeah, men counting sex work in their totals with female sex workers not counting them is very possibly a factor.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/22 06:14 PM

This is pretty consistent across surveys that somehow straight men have more sex partners than straight women when the means should match. Possibilities include men rounding up and women rounding down when estimating, women saying certain encounters didn't "count" or sex work. Either via sex work or just openness, it's likely a few women at the high end make the mean higher than the median for women. If the female population lacks homogeneity and a normal distribution it does present sampling ch…

It's gonna be metro dependant. Also it depends on age. On the whole college guys tend to be fitter than guys in their mid-20s and beyond. Seriously, when you're 40+ if you aren't overweight, have a full head of hair, have an actual career and are over 5'10", you're like top 10 percent.

Musician for women under 30. Also probably photographer and fashion designer . Lots of creative fields. Then probably any job where the title exceeds the pay. So Non Profit Director (usually they make like $50k unless it's a huge national one), and college instructor (ok money but not for the amount of time invested unless you're tenured). Then there's the entire "long term prospect" like Medical School Student or intern. Negative money in the short run, high potential long run.

Honestly a lot of dead bedrooms are caused by one or both partners letting themselves go. The young couple who couldn't keep their hands off each other's 25 year old bodies can lose interest in each other's 40 year old bodies. I also see plenty of couples where the woman has generally taken care of herself and the guy just gave up. With N count you really have to look at Mean, Median and Mode. To give drastic examples, NYC and LA are gonna be way higher than Salt Lake City for both men and women…

I think one of the problems with the dating market is nice guys get the nice beaten out of them just before women their age are willing to settle for nice guys. A lot of Players were once romantic sweet guys who had a girl cheat on them or dump them and got jaded.

These studies tend to be useless if they don't take women's cycles into account. There's tons of evidence women prefer feminine pretty men... Except when they are ovulating when they go for masculine faces.

Most women want to date guys 0-3 years older than them. Essentially the College Seniors when she was a College Freshman.

This is true in that people have different responses to not having their needs met long term. Some just leave. Some suffer in silence. Some cheat to get their needs met but maintain the status quo.

Especially with second wives this happens all the time. The first wife is more likely to be of the same economic class.

Facial symmetry and feminine features typically don't go out of fashion with men. Long hair generally is popular. Waist to hip ratio also has always been important. Body Hair removal is reasonably popular across cultures and time. In western culture I would say showing skin is generally popular with men. High heels are also reasonably popular.

I enjoy how academics have used "age of first sex" as a quantifiable stand in for "how horny is she in general" It sounds like stability increases frequency while raw attraction increases intensity.

Honestly the big ones are gonna be pro choice and LGBT issues. Are you gonna support her if she has to abort? Are you gonna be cool with her Gay friends? These are significant issues with practical implications.

In the total dark? No. I think even most men know which of the buckets of "Very Attractive" "Attractive" "Average" "Unattractive" and "Very Unattractive" they fall into. There may be some tendency to put oneself in a bucket one step lower on the scale.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/22 06:31 PM

You can definitely expand the pool of women that find you attractive. Obviously this is easier if you are currently 25 than 35.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/22 04:49 AM
2

Once you reach your late 20s one of the best organic networks is your (male) friends' wives and girlfriends setting you up with their single friends. Obviously this can go poorly with low quality matches. But if they aren't even trying to set you up it suggests there is something wrong with your value. Moving to a new city can definitely be rough for dating as a man. Either you get really lucky and find a gem in the new pool or have to be patient.

Extremely situational. If she cheated, cut her off entirely. On the other hand if one of you moved away and you either decided to end it or just couldn't make long distance work? You can stay friends. You need to check your own emotions and think about if it will hold you back and/or if it will wreck you seeing her date someone else. The social media age is brutal in that way, it's much harder to just omit discussions of casual dating. Long term it rarely works.

Choice Paralysis. 50 years ago, you dated the cutest person your age in your town who would have you. Now you can cast an extremely wide net. Men and women both want to hold out for a better deal. It's much harder to choose between 500 options than 10. A parallel issue is how much schooling it now takes to make a decent living. Financially secure 25 year olds typically have parental cash. More and more women are waiting until they finish school to put down roots. This is a rational choice but al…

I would say most women are very good at curating their best pics in terms of angle, lighting and make up and that's before taking filters into account. Men? "This is what I look like" (takes a pic holding the camera below his chin)

Agreed. Are we talking Rebel Wilson at her biggest, or 20 pounds overweight? Because I'm a big fan of the latter.

Depends a little on context. But a good way to test is to ask if you can invite a friend to come along. If he kind of balks at that he just want to date, if he invites his friends it's just a hang.

I think dudes like knowing they could get serious about a girl anytime if they wanted to, they basically have her in the lobby waiting. I've certainly known women who were nominally on the dating market but really just waiting for one guy to agree to get serious when they would drop anyone else in a flash. I'm pretty fascinated by the whole "we're not serious or exclusive but I don't want to know or see anything else you get up to".

Weirdly some women care. Being a medical doctor is sexually attractive even for a hookup.

Ah for me that's crossing into "great" or "ideal". My hunch also is anyone asking that sort of question on Reddit probably has a ways to go until they hit "good". Just finding something active you don't hate is half the battle.

Oh yeah the difference between being a woman's type and not is night and day. She'll ask questions and laugh at jokes that are questionably funny.

Man, women love Starbucks. I have to imagine straight male baristas don't struggle to meet women.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 08:33 PM

If a woman agrees to "drinks at my place?" as a first date there's a 95 percent chance of sex
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 08:32 PM

I generally would not do dinner on a first date unless they were legitimately friends first. Something active or outside is better, it's part of why hiking is so popular in dating culture.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 08:31 PM

Coffee and drinks tend to have different implications
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 08:29 PM

No sleepovers, no toothbrush or other personal items left, and implied dating other people.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 08:29 PM

I mean what often happens to single women is they want a relationship, but they do get horny too. So maybe they roll around with a guy casually. But then it's good and they keep doing it and one of them catches feels. And if the other one doesn't feel the same it can get awkward.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 08:28 PM

Oh my is this how far we've come? Once upon a time just asking someone out for a drink and not dinner or a planned "date" was a clear sign of more casual interest. I mean the other fact is safety matters for women. For most meeting someone at a public space and at least taking a little time to size him up in person and get a feel is better than driving over to his place after chatting online a bit. Not creepy. You can certainly mention you're not looking for anything serious right now.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 08:26 PM

30 matches per month is a lot! Agree that if a guy sees himself as a 8 and matches with a 6 for him he's more likely to mess around.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 08:21 PM

Anyone who is active and eats well will develop a "good" physique.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/22 08:19 PM

Well it kind of makes sense that people who just aren't interested in sex much don't really care to get married. It's interesting the trend keeps going up past the occasional viewers.

My main story about this was my friend group was out having a good time at the bar. I hadn't drank much, had sobered up and could drive and ended up giving a very pretty, very tipsy friend of mine a ride home to her place at her request. She indirectly invited me in and I politely declined based on her state; she could walk without falling over and I wasn't worried about her choking on her own vomit, but if she tried to drive she would have gotten a DUI. After the fact she did mention she felt b…

Guys also widely vary in how they take care of themselves by 30. There were a lot of pot bellies on guys that used to be fit in high school at my 10 year reunion.

Well for men it's more complex. Most men objectively physically peak around 22-23. But the decline is often quite slow. On the other hand most men's earnings skyrocket in their 20s. For men it's less a wall than a hill that gets shorter, then does slowly grow again.

I feel like very attractive dudes are more likely to be pleasant but maybe a bit careless with women. They often are very happy people, life treats them well, etc. But they also know if they mess something up with a girl there are two more waiting. Also, everyone is nice to very attractive men. Very attractive women do face jealousy from women and men often want something from them. They certainly encounter a lot of "nice guys" who rage when rejected.

A lot of 27 year old dudes want to date 22 year old women. At the least their range is often 21-28. A lot of 35 year old dudes open to dating 27 year old women are either single for a good reason or divorced with children. 27 is almost exactly the age when the dating "power" flips.

They really aren't aware. I've heard way too many stories of women who weight train regularly being shocked when they go to the gym with a guy who rarely lifts and he can easily outlift her. Only the most elite female athletes are actually stronger than average men. It actually helps understand why the women who are very afraid of men they don't know feel so scared and approach men with such caution.

It's probably a bit of both. Old people still feel comfortable buying albums. Young people grew up with Spotify etc. Old people also have more money. I do wonder if part of it is the TikToking of music. If a 10 second clip of your song blows up it's not necessarily easy to monetize that compared to when bands used to explode after being featured in a commercial or movie soundtrack. Finally, two years into a global pandemic the live music scene is struggling. I imagine it's hard for new talent to…

I think it's complex. There is value in flirty friendships for both sexes, especially if everyone is single. Especially if it happens organically (mutual friends and group hangs eventually leading to one-on-one time). There's a window to make a move. If you're both single and you're attracted to her, shoot your shot and don't make it weird if she doesn't feel the same, etc. Obviously the real world can be complex. A single woman may have 3-4 single guy friends she is equally moderately intereste…
