They would mercilessly tease other countries until the enemy population develops an eating disorder on a massive scale and becomes too weak to fight. Rather clever actually.

It isn't the cops "reasoning". They are following the law. She wasn't "planning" to commit a DUI. She was witnessed committing a DUI. She was in the drivers seat. She was drunk. The motor was running. That means she was in control of the vehicle while drunk. That is a DUI according to the law. If you are driving down the road drunk, and pull into a parking space, and turn off the car but remain in the drivers seat, you are still considered to be in control of the vehicle. You are still drunk dri…

None of this matters. 1) she was drunk. 2) She was in the drivers seat. 3) the motor was running 4) She was in control of the vehicle 5) That means she was DUI. There is no presumption of a crime being committed. Those are the facts. If you think DUI laws are too strict, I encourage you to start a campaign in your community to make it OK for people to be drunk, and behind the wheel of their car as long as it is in park. That will surely be a super popular campaign. Perhaps you could start a poli…

None of what you are saying as anything to do with the fact that SHE WAS DRUNK AND BEHIND THE WHEEL OF THE FUCKING CAR. Jesus Christ, that has nothing to do with cop unions, thin blue lines, or other shit. And it doesn't represent some new erosion of our civil liberties. These are old and very good laws.

I understand her frustration. But I can't even fathom hitting somebody for that. But then again, I'm a man. And if I hit another man, I need to be prepared for violence. I guess that is the privilege of being a woman. You can hit a man for nothing, and if they do strike back, 10 other dudes around you will rush in to protect you from the consequences you deserve.

My point is that you seem to be drawing some ultra fine line about proportionate responses. She attacked him and he wrestled her down. That is all. That is proportional. As I said, if he took out a gun and shot her, that would be a disproportional response. If he took her down, then stood up and started stomping her head into the concrete, that would have been a disproportional response. To say that wrestling her down was out of line is ridiculous. She started a physical altercation and he ended…

I see nothing unreasonable about what he did. Would you be saying the same thing if the girl in this video was a guy? What if the guy was the same size as the girl? Does it really matter? What if she started the assault on grass and when he took her down she wasn't injured? Does it really matter? What if she was a trained fighter? Would that matter? Are we supposed to perform that kind of calculus when we are being physically assaulted and we need to defend ourselves? You would have a point if h…

You can't say what the kid knew or didn't know. He clearly believed her to be a physical threat because she was physically assaulting him. Her mistake was that she evidently believed he wasn't a physical threat when she attacked.

I like how they only wonder if men or lesbians objectifying women is a problem, as if women at the gym never check out or objectify any of the men around them.

Kill Bill is another example of a hugely successful film with women in the leading roles. And in that case, the lead had to train hard for her extraordinary skills. Nothing was given to her just because she is a woman. She fought through men and women to exact her revenge.

What is the point here? That men run faster than women? Yes, we know that. So if the Nigerians put a woman in for that 3rd lap instead of a man, there would not be any significant lead, and then all men would run that last lap, and.......so what? This is not a PPD. But I guess the way this played out does put the differences between the sexes in terms of speed into more stark contrast.

Society doesn't put women anywhere. Women have as much agency as men today. They make their own life decisions and are fully aware of the consequences...because women are smart. They are not niave children. The data show young women in their 20s make more than men from that same demographic. And that makes sense when you realize that far more women than men are going to and graduating from college. and college grads make more. The pay disparity between men and women starts to reveal itself in ol…

That was a totally proportional response. It is really disturbing to see girls like this react with such trauma to being hit after they did the same and were the aggressor. It is hard for me to understand (as a guy), how that kind of entitlement is instilled in a girl like this.

You've got it backwards. The officer knew she was bad news, and drunk, and was trying to break into a truck. What an intelligent person does is comply with the officer and then make your case later if you believe the officer has done wrong. This isn't difficult. Only stupid belligerent assholes don't understand this. You want to reduce the number of people who are injured or killed by cops? The simple way--and this will work over night----is to tell people to comply when a cop is asking you to d…

Everybody was wrong here. It was rude of her to take the spot. It was illegal for him to kick her car and dent it. And it was dumb of her to immediately escalate to physical violence.

She must be a really bad martial arts instructor because a good one would teach that the best course of action is to deescalate and only get physical if the other person gives you no other choice. He kicks her car and she immediately pounces. Really stupid.

This is an interesting and potentially dangerous mindset to promote. Everybody has superpowers if you can go around physically assaulting people without your victims ever fighting back. And have these women ever been to a gym and observed males working out? A few years ago I was in a discussion with a woman about professional athletes. It was extremely difficult to convince her that men are, on average, bigger, faster, and stronger than women.

If its only "pocket change" then why doesn't her friend help her out? This was really awful. I couldn't believe it when she said "And what do you think is happening now? Money is literally affecting our relationship." WTF? Money is only affecting the relationship because you are asking for money! With that logic she could have asked for much much more and if he said no, she could make the same bogus argument. He wants to keep money OUT of the relationship. But she keeps dragging money back into …

I agree, and I have no idea if these cloths masks do anything. But, it is not a big deal to wear it when I am out and about in public. I find it mildly uncomfortable, especially in hot weather, and my glasses fog up, but I do it to keep the peace, even if I am wearing it wrong. Wearing it calms everybody down and there is value in that.

There are people who think exactly like this. A few years ago, an administrator at Vassar said of men falsely accused of rape: "They have a lot of pain, but it is not a pain I necessarily would have spared them. I think it ideally initiates a process of self exploration". This is what happens when you don't think of justice in terms of individuals. When all you see is group identity, does it really matter which man does the time for a woman who was raped? Any man will do.

This is exactly what Serena Williams said when talking about women's tennis. A few years ago, John McEnroe got himself into trouble when he stated that Serena was the best "women" playing tennis. The interviewer then asked him why he didn't say she was the best player ever, period, men included. He then said she would probably rank at about 700 on the men's side. This, of course, caused a media shit storm. When Serena was asked about it she agreed! She said if she played a top man (like Nadal) s…

It depends what you mean by "stand up to him". Sure, they could tell him he was being rude to the vendor and that he should leave if he doesn't like the price or level of service. Absolutely. But if it means physically assaulting him for being rude to the vendor, that is something else entirely.

So if daddy bought the phone but gave it to her as birthday gift, then he loses his authority over how/when his child uses the phone? Do parents give up all rights to discipline their children when the disruption is caused by an item gifted to the child? Another example: parent gives kid an X-box for christmas. X-box now belongs to child because it was formerly gifted to him. Ooops...parents could never take X-box away to discipline child because it doesn't belong to them. Oh...how about this on…

The best part is her claim that she wasn't on any drugs or alcohol, which means that she is just bat shit crazy. And I am betting she pulled the same shit on her parents when she was a kid--screaming bloody murder like an entitled little brat until she got her way. But cops are not your parents.
