I'm not talking about people who disagree with me though. I'm talking about the feminist SJW types who want to change what video games look like just because they don't like what male gamers like, and what made the game popular in the first place. Those people aren't the fans. People like you are fans and I don't doubt it, but getting behind people like Anita is what got us mass effect Andromeda.

It's not the elitism, it's that people are using skewed results to back their claims about who are "gamers" and who arent. That's like saying a lot of older women play Facebook games, there's an argument that because those "gamers" are female, those older women should have a say in changing the Gears of War main character to a girl. It's the willful ignorance of the people who use the stats as a weapon to push their ideology.

You do have every right to be critical but do I not have the same right to say that I want the games I love to stay true to what they are instead of being changed by people like Anita Sarkisian who say that they don't even like video games but still demand they change for her and forget all the people who actually enjoy it.
