I have not been to prison but I've heard that prison inmates fuck up people who mess with kids. Pretty sure the only knowledge she's going to impart on those folks is where getting hit hurts the most.

True. I just hate when people act like it's some cure all miracle substance that is in no way harmful and makes you shit rainbows. Like anything, it should be treated with respect and because it is technically a drug it has a tendency to become habit forming.

Yeah because 99% of the time there isn't a need for compassion, it's a cab service. They're not going to account for an event like this occuring. They will more than likely correct they're behavior for future occurances You can't let little shit like this get to you, there are way bigger fish to fry out there then a cab service making an oversight. It's wrong, I agree, but this could easily be a mistake.

...but again, it's not a conscious decision. There's no algorithm tucked away that says "double price in case of bombing" so this isn't a situation where they are trying to profit off of disaster. It just so happened that this event mirrored a concert getting out or something where they would normally escalate prices. I highly doubt uber made a conscious decision to increase price. They're algorithms more than likely detected a small(ish) area with high demand and began to increase price. That's not to say they shouldn't have stepped in and used some human oversight, but I highly doubt this was a human decision as it would be political suicide

I know my previous comment sounds sort of sjw which is probably why it got down voted so hard, I just feel a registry list is unnecessary.
