Everyone gets the same 9 weeks of basic, however 88M is not a combat MOS and thus could have been filled by women a long time ago. Tactics have changed far too much now. If people on here really want to make an immediate improvement, check out places like /r/food_bank and /r/assistance. its sad seeing how little there is for men who post asking for food/supplies but youll have a woman who asks for clothes for work get her entire amazon wishlist. I cant do much on my own, but i buy a few things here and there when i can and i would love it if more men found that they could get help there rather than just empty threads.

While I will agree that being male has a huge part of it, but to trivialize it and say its not a military issue is selling it short. Considering the numbers that went with the article say that 30% have considered suicide and 37% know someone who did. By the percentages of the total male soldiers currently active 139735 who have thought/considered suicide. thats a fairly large number, even if only 1/3 of those actually do it it will be more deaths than gun violence and duis combined.
