You’re at these meet ups to meet and hopefully establish a date. Any woman who would be opposed to a follow up message or consider it “weird” but still atends these events isn’t worth your time anyway. Her thinking it’s weird is a reflection of herself, not you or your message.

What are the odds you see her again if you don’t message her? Unless these meet ups end up being frequent for both of you odds are never again. So you have nothin to lose, if she’s not interested and doesn’t wanna go out you’re still in the same spot you are currently. Go for it!

That's how I'm reading it too. I too had the same concern about dinner, but my friends said that its super casual just getting food on campus (not a resturant or anything fancy) so it shouldnt be a big deal. Regardless of how it plays out i am not planning on making any real moves until I know they are broken up for certain.
