No dude don’t overthink it, worst thing you can do for yourself is get into your head. Don’t overthink, you’re just there in the moment having a chat. Just have a conversation, gauge where you can be cheeky, flirt openly if you want, and go from there. Important thing is you are not there to get in her pants. You’re there to live a good life for yourself. If a girl comes along and you’re on that same vibe, then hell yeah. But your focus should be on your schedule. Don’t be desperate.

There’s the subreddit for specifically social skills. This particular sub is too toxic to actually help people looking to improve their social ability. And the vast majority of every human being that ever lived, didn’t rely on the internet or books to figure out how to talk to people, they just lived a life filled with hobbies, community and shared experiences, that ended up naturally improving them via exposure therapy. The things we’re trying to address here with the theory and the pick-up art…

Dude you doing the board game stuff and organising it isn’t for getting girls, it’s for you and your personal fulfilment, and getting you meeting other people. If you don’t do things for yourself and only make the effort if you think you’ll get a girl at the end, then you definitely will struggle bro. This community exists because there’s people that struggle with the mental side of it re: anxiety, there’s people that just overthink it, there’s people that aren’t naturally all that charismatic. …

Dude firstly, getting in your head and seeing them as a commodity rather than someone to make a connection with leads to you fumbling and ending up just a friend. Secondly, you’re not going to sleep with 95% of every woman you ever meet. What’s wrong with having female friends? You don’t get what a blessing that is, it opens a lot of doors for you community-building wise, as girls are generally better at it than guys are. Thirdly, if you’re not able to be her friend, how do you plan on actually …

Look man, there’s a million reasons not to do something. If those hobbies don’t have a community where you live, why don’t you make one? If there’s you in your city, there must be others who also are looking for a likeminded community. Go invite people to board game night. Go do something you know, anything. World’s your oyster.

Yeah with friends is different though. I mean go do your thing. On your own. Not all hobbies are social, true, but all hobbies have a community - it’s a matter of finding and expanding your community dude.

No yeah you struggle cos you sound like Patrick Bateman mate, you sound like you’re pretending to be a person. And you do sound kinda arrogant. Your clothes aren’t the problem.

“Putting in the work” and “projecting bad vibes” may be subjective, but what are they subject to? The answer is, the perception of these intangible attributes is determined by society at large. Given you’re trying to engage in a social activity vis a vis dating, it helps to keep yourself competitive in the avenues that society tends to favour. Also nobody mentioned ugly faces. The vibe is almost always about how you carry yourself, rather than what you look like. There’s also a difference betwee…

That cheapens the value of respect. Respect is earned, not given by default. It is a reward for putting in the work. If you appear to have put in the work, you’ll get respect. But if you project bad vibes, you will definitely receive no or very little respect.

I’m no more a man than you are brother. I’m just a guy who learned a lot from a very unfortunate situation. This isn’t the kind of lesson you should need to learn from cancer, but I’m glad I learned it. I hope at least one person takes this on board. It really does just all boil down to mindset. Even beyond women, having the right mindset will have you succeed in every faucet of life.

Nah, DO talk to dudes. Naturally as a guy you’re gonna get along best with other guys. Build your social circle, and they’ll have friends they can introduce you to. But also talk to women. Not JUST men.

Exactly! You don’t need to be unique to be three-dimensional. Because everyone consumes the same stuff, you can talk about almost any subject and a woman somewhere will likely be into it. They’re people just like you, level with them.

Well, when you talk the way you do, frankly I’m not surprised you’ve had bad experiences with women. You’re bitter, and it’s obvious. Respect is not being a simp. It’s the same respect you afford your friends. Given how resistant you are to this idea, I can say it straight - I’m not here to help you. If you’re willing and able to be a generally decent person without projecting or putting a mask on, then this advice is helpful. If you’re unwilling, hate women without compromise and find even the …

Hey man, I seriously appreciate the support! I saw you mentioned this post in another comment elsewhere, and I think that’s the first time I’ve been mentioned and gotten pinged about it. Haha, a pretty awesome feeling. Yeah, I’m not surprised people were very mixed about this one. It takes a lot to change someone’s convictions, and one post on Reddit won’t change much. But hopefully it plants a seed that eventually brings change, which is what I’m trying to achieve. You take care of yourself man…

Hey guys, I didn’t expect this amount of people to see this, but I’m glad you did. I’ve gotten a few messages that were very pessimistic and depressing, with some hateful ones as well. I wanted to quickly address that. It seems beyond just relationships, a few of you are a bit bitter about people and society in general, and I wanted to let you know that it really does suck to have to feel that way and I’m sure something personal causes it, but this definitely ties into how your attempts at a rel…

Hahah! There’s a lot of people trying to put words in my mouth in this comment section. It was expected, but I guess I hit a nerve. It’s the kind of thing you can either take on board or reject because you feel you know better, nothing I can do about that, it’s their choice. Glad to know you like my content though!

Brother, I can’t control how you take what I say. I’m not trying to imply anything about your history - I’m fairly certain of it. You would not think of women as shallow unless you have encountered shallow women. You would not be of the opinion that they do not care, unless you met one just like that. Your views on women are shaped by your experiences with them and the influence of your environment. These are not desirable behaviours that you’ve described them having, so I am assuming that you h…

Nobody said anything of that. So no you’re not correct. The majority of living people end up with a partner. A very tiny fraction are on this subreddit. It’s clear techniques and emotional manipulation are an artificial approach to relationships. It’s probably triggering because you feel particularly attacked by it, and I definitely didn’t mince my words when writing it. I don’t apologise for any of it, since it’s all true. And nobody said simping - that’s an exaggeration of what’s supposed to b…

I’ll respond with sincerity here, because I’ve seen that argument a lot - that a lot of people’s true selves are not attractive. You’re right, being genuine might not mean being the perfect guy. It’s not a magic wand. But being genuine means you don’t hold back, and whether they like it or not, you own that. So if you’re an asshole inherently, and you don’t want to work on yourself to fix that, then roll with that. You’ll find things difficult, and quickly develop tools to make things easier to …

That’s not what I said. I said you’re trying to get intimate with a woman, but won’t be there when she’s having a bad day. I don’t mean sexual intimacy, I mean emotional intimacy. If you’re looking to connect with a woman, you can start by sharing things with each other, and being receptive to their interests as they are of yours. Nobody said you have to violate your boundaries for that. And nobody said women can do no wrong. But if the blanket approach where the group mindset is leaning towards…

Like I said in my post, being nice is not enough. Just like being an asshole is not enough. Human beings are not black and white, and there is no such thing as perfect. But being an asshole is an inherently antisocial trait, whereas being respectful is an inherently social one. Yes you may come across antisocial women who respond to toxic behaviour, but the vast majority actually are not. Just be genuine, and maintain your boundaries. She’s a human being just like you are. This isn’t a team spor…

Bro if you’re not willing to hear what she has to say, or inquire on her life beyond talking about yourself, you’re in for a bad time. You’re looking to get INTIMATE with a woman, but you’re not willing to be there when she’s had a bad day. If you’re not down to hear that, sure - but if you’re deliberately interjecting just because you feel like by doing so it’ll raise your value by making her feel shit, then that’s monumentally dumb. There’s boundaries and pretending to have boundaries so you c…

To get diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), you need to display two types of traits. Difficulties in social interaction and very, very specific, limited interests. Like postcodes starting with the number 2. These are the only two exhibitable traits that are considered diagnosable for autism according to the DSM-5. You can only be diagnosed by a psychologist or psychiatrist, usually in tandem.

While I understand where you're coming from, I implore you to read the rest of that paragraph. This is not for people who can't help how they are. This is not supposed to be a "get laid quick" scheme. This is for people who haven't even tried to better themselves. This is for people who realise their shortcoming's and simply said "that's who I am", and then proceed to complain that they don't get laid. It's not easy at all to essentially rebuild yourself. But it's either that or continuing to li…

I still apologise, it was rude of me to be so brash. The best advice I can give you is to simply take small steps at a time to build up your sureness of yourself. Things like considering doing the laundry, making your bed. By determining that you will do those things, you're incrementally creating neural pathways in your brain that ease the process of decision-making. A lot of people disagree with me and say that you only need game and technique, and that improving upon yourself is secondary. I'…

You are beta. It's obvious this post was written during a very emotional mindset. First thing you should do is stop thinking emotionally. I'm not sure if you're actually clinically depressed (Get that sorted out first. See a university therapist, call helplines, save money, set up a payment plan with therapists that will do it.) or just currently in a really down mood. The reason you're probably not getting girls is because you care too much. No random girl at a party is going to realistically s…
