This is why the "just cOMmUniAate" advice/propaganda is so harmful and a narc's favorite treat. If you're in the position where you find yourself carefully crafting arguments and choosing the perfect word to explain to him how he hurt you, don't. Run the fuck away.

I just had a revelation about dealing with low value people. Low value people, like LVM, tend to act as if they're better than you the moment you treat them as your equal. I was recalling this event a few years ago. My second cousin was in the country for couple of days and he invited me out to dinner with his friend and the friend's wife. I went thinking oh hey maybe I can make some new Asian friends. After some initial chitchat I realized that that wasn't gonna be the case lol. Both of them we…

Or get shot, seeing how things are around here. I think women should do whatever makes sense for their situation for their own self preservation. Obvs don't be meek, don't walk with a vulnerable air about you, strong body language, but you shouldn't get into physical altercation with men unless it's literally life and death.

This happened to me too. As I mentioned in my other comment, the PUA scrote who asked me this question proceeded to bombard me with a ton of personal questions after I entertained him initially. I dipped after my gut told me to. It's pretty crazy how this is a routine they're using now. Stay safe, ladies

Sis, some scrote literally approached me the other day with this exact question. It totally caught me off guard bc in the moment I wasn't able to process it as a neg. But it def was some PUA shit. And now that I see your post my intuition has been confirmed. I know I have an accent but never in my life has anyone whom I first met has mentioned it. So them asking this question is designed to make you feel self conscious for no reason. It's a negging tactic.

your last paragraph is 100% spot on. They treat us like a sex toy/prostitute/therapist/mom/intellectual receptacle/everything in between.

100 percent this. The whole "you should give the downtrodden nice guy a chance" drivel is very damaging to women. Not to say that we should go for the fuckbois either, but women should steer clear of the self loathing men. They take your grace for granted and repay you with the same anger they feel towards the world ("everyone is out to get me; no one sees how special I am wahhhh"). Their delusion is a bottomless pit.

This is so true and describes my ex to a tee. I gave him a chance even though he was below my league (but he seemed nice lmao) only for him to later turn the tables on me and complained I wasn't good enough for him and that he had to settled (the delusion is strong). These NVM/LVM dig their own graves with their own twisted psychology, and you gotta be careful not to fall into the hole with them.

As someone who's been there done that with counseling. It is not worth it. My therapist was great and was possibly one of the few people whom my ex would actually listened to and respected the opinion of. However, nothing fundamentally changed. All that he did was changed on the surface so that I couldn't "complain" about that particular issue anymore. Don't waste your time and money. If a man doesn't want to change for himself, nobody, not his parents, his gf, or even god can make him change.

You all were right. Scrotes can pick up on vulnerability. Today I was out running errands and things were taking much longer than I expected, so I ended up being hungry, thirsty, and tired, but still pushed myself to go to the grocery store to get some food before heading home. Lo and behold this old scrote queued up behind me and asking something about "lining up". Me being distracted, I just pointed out the 6 ft marking on the floor and then said something light-hearted about social distancing…

Thank you, you're definitely right about people not matching the effort/energy. I've reached out to the friends who are living far away and see if they're up for a virtual hangout soon. IIRC, last time I had to initiate too. Frankly I'm kinda tired of it. I promised myself this is the last time I'm initiating.

That is horrifying. You'd think that this kind of conditions would exist in the 19th century, not 2020.

This is not positive or inspiring at all. It's gross. I'm appalled that it's tagged as "queen shit". It reeks of the "having it all" propaganda that gets pushed to women so they would delude themselves into working to death for the system.

What do you do when most of your friends have left to go to other cities and there's no way to meet new people with this quarantine in place? And the couple friends who are still in the same city as you don't actually care about you that much? Serious question that I'm grappling with.

That was my thinking too. Plus the refrains of "if you're not for equality then you're not a feminist" and "relationships are hard work" that get parroted frequently in society got me to stay longer than I should have. It's scary how much brainwashing there exists to get women to always be doubting themselves.

My ex was a self loathing insecure mess when I met him. I legit spent so much time encouraging him and building him up, and all that I ask is that he stop being so controlling and belittling towards me, but he kept tearing me down so he could look better (rather than actually improving himself). I had to leave because I was so miserable. He texted me and said that "he's happier and able to stand on his two feet bc of me". So he is aware of what value i contributed to his life, but he just doesn'…

For some reasons we're having a huge influx of narcissistic transactional men in America these past few years (i think it really ramped up in the last decade, just my observations). With how rampant guns are plus the incel culture, I don't feel safe dating anymore.

This is me. And then when I finally lose it over the small thing, I'd get criticized for being emotional and hysterical to the point I'd doubt and feel guilt about myself. Basically, a ripe feast for a narc.

Did we date the same guy? My ex whom i just broke up with after 4 yrs stopped taking me on dates after the 3 month honeymoon period. And now he's nickle-and-diming me for the things we bought together. While still messaging me about "keeping an open communication". L fucking mao. Never date a 50/50 scrote. You're still very young, and it's only onwards and upwards from here. Sending good vibes to you!

Congrats on the raise! Lots of companies including mine are not doing that citing Covid reasons, so getting a raise during these times is definitely a good sign for job stability. Your skincare routine sounds solid. I liked TO Matrixyl serum; it makes my skin feels so plump 🙂

Thank you for your kind words! Writing down green flags is a great idea. A few weeks ago, I went on a self improvement binge with the level up sub, but now I feel like the best thing is just to be at peace with myself first.

This cleared it up a lot for me, thank you! I need to separate my yellow flags and red flags. Previously l was mistakenly thinking that one or two red flags = caution, and if enough adds up then it's time to bail, but this is not a correct use of red flags.

Even my LVM exes were totally cool with getting tested. I consider it a baseline requirement even before I found FDS. If they don't comply I walk. You got to protect yourself.

It's sad that it has to be unpopular opinion. I get so grossed out to see people kiss their pets, especially the dog owners who let their dogs lick their faces (most likely after the dogs had just finished licking its asshole). As a result, when I was on OLD before, I swiped left on guys with dogs, and that weeded out a lot of people lol

Just a rant. Woke up with a crushing sadness, I guess it's just one of those "mourning the relationship" days. It really is scary how deep the feelings go. Though I have no interest and promised myself I won't touch OLD for at least another 6 months, I'm still scared of getting hurt in the future. I've written down all the red flags of my ex, as well as my dealbreakers so I have a reference, and I've read the handbook twice now, but I'm still scared. My confidence in this area (evaluation, disce…

Avoid these men like the plague! Just got out of a 4 yr relationship with a phil major (he also got a master degree in philosophy) who was deeply insecure and it has been an absolute hell everytime he ropes me into an argument. He would completely ignore the gaping fallacies in his own reasoning when I pointed them out and talked circles to confuse me and then belittle me for "not being able to keep up". I felt like I was living in the crazy house!

Oh my god, as someone who spent alot of time curating my wardrobe and had been told "you should more dresses" and "I don't like your baggy Mom jeans" by my ex, I rage in solidarity with you. Imagine the audacity of someone just swooping in and uninformed ly tell you what to do over something you've spent so much time on. While he himself, a man of mid thirties, wears fucking graphic tees and faded chinos.

Don't let yourself get mired in the quicksand of thinking you're entitled for wanting him to plan dates. I lost 4 yrs of my life to my ex who stopped planning dates after the honeymoon period was over. For vacations, we had to sit down together and he made me do as much research as he did for places we should visit, even if I already spent my time monitoring airfare and booked tickets to save us money. No more to these type of men. This is the ex who repeatedly told me that "we can't get married…

How do I get better at this? I'm not very good at socializing and so, half the time I have to expend bandwidth on coming up with what to say next.

I know this is late but did we have the same ex (minus the hygiene part)? Worse, mine had a degree in philosophy so he was even more convinced of his "rationality".

Thanks so much for writing this. I lost years of my life to a recent ex who thrived in arguments, who could go for hours on end on meta-arguments about pseudo issues until I broke down and I would be accused of being too irrational. When I tried to get him to see my point of view, he would drag me into this dance until I don't know which side is up anymore and I would eventually acquiesced out of exhaustion. The worst of it is that he went to school to study logic and reasoning and automatically…

I've dated/socialized with a few doctors in the past and 10/10 they're arrogant, sleazy assholes who think just because they have an MD, women are lining up to give them blow jobs or something. I know it's not fair to generalize, but I've lost patience for these guys. Doctors are a no on my list now, because even if he's a nice guy, he'll rarely be around and I'll have to take care of the chores, so screw that.

I need this reminder. This is why I feel like banging my head against the wall when trying to understand clownass behavior from men, because I'm using my own frame of reference. For example, I'm the type of person who thinks, why the hell would I cheat? It's risky, unethical, and a waste of time. If I'm not happy, I leave. But most men don't think like that. They don't care about ethics, and as long as they get free sex and free household labor, it's a great deal for them.

This is why I no longer refer to myself as a feminist. Modern Western liberal feminism is a shitshow that has been co-opted by corporate interest (hello, female empowerment industry, pinkwashing, "sex work is SO eMpOWeRInG" bs) that seeks to sow discord in female-male relationships so people would become more alienated, depressed, anxious, and paranoid of each others--which makes them more obedient consumers and easier to control as wage slaves. I'll support the basic tenets of feminism (reprodu…

Oh man, the catch up mentality describes me to a tee. Growing up as an immigrant child I didn't have much opportunity to socialize in a carefree manner (language barrier, family finances) so I mostly stayed in and study. By the time I felt secure enough to go out, my social skills were behind compared to my peers, as well as "milestone experiences" like going clubbing or hooking up. This led to them making fun of me which led me to withdraw and double down on the people pleasing when meeting new…

So this is more of a question for when the epidemic is over and it's safe to socialize in person again. How do you make new friends outside of the group you're very comfortable in? I recognize that my social skills could use some leveling up. Not sure if I'm on the spectrum or just from lack of practice, but I have a hard time socializing with people my age that's outside of a niche demographic that is already prone to be introverted and has a higher tolerance for social awkwardness (think: cat …

I would do this too, next time. There are lots of issues that arise from living together that you can't see even if you've spent a lot of time at their place. Some of these issues are minor and can be worked out, some cannot.

Broke up with my ex 2 weeks ago after 4 years of cohabitation. He was very affectionate towards me and kept a spotless house but sadly addicted to video games and pot, has anxiety issues that bled over to me, and no action on the marriage front. I moved in with him hastily and partly out of the fear that once I hit my 30s i would be less datable. 🤡🤡🤡 Me, i am now in my 30s and ended up where i had once feared. But whatever, I know what I have to do now to work towards a better future. I just fou…
