The empathy gap is real: A photo of an enslaved woman in Libya rocks RedditThe majority of men just don't care about their own sex. There have been multiple studies that confirm men have significantly less "in-group" bias than women, which leads to this. In fact, men are ALSO more biased towards woman than men. Those few men who try and foster healthy male advocacy get shut down both by women who view it as a distraction from "real" issues and fellow men who think its a complete and utter waste of effort. Advocacy is "lame" and "feminine" to them. It's why I don't blam… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 10/01/25 06:39 PM
Women are simply lying about this pretty consequential thingI told you the source attempts to downplay things as much as possible, but it acknowledges the 2-8 (not 10%) false accusation rate which was the point of contention. They never once say that 90%+ claims are inherently true, and couch their statements with "no one can really know how many cases are truly false". Like most left of center publications, they WANT to operate off the assumption that any allegation is true until PROVEN false, hence why they are so determined to stick to the 2-8% figure… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/12/24 06:12 PM
Women are simply lying about this pretty consequential thingSo you don't give me the run around when I do, which part of my comment do you want to see a study for? The generally accepted 2-10% false accustation rate? That 10% or less accustations are proven true? Or is your problem with the math? That if 2-10% are false, and that 10% or less are proven true, that the 80ish percent in between can't be proven one way or another? Edit: Actually, fuck it. I'm going to assume you want evidence for the false allegations part. Here. https://www.nsvrc.org/sites/… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/12/24 07:01 PM
Women are simply lying about this pretty consequential thingHuh? All I said was that between 2-10% are false, which you yourself noted. I didn't use the word "false" to describe the vast majority. They are in that murky grey area that would go under the "unsubstantiated" label, as you say. These are not proven one way or the other, so acting like they're all true by default is bad science. Which you literally did just above. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/12/24 06:29 PM
Women are simply lying about this pretty consequential thingYou're completely wrong and don't even realize it. I have no real opinion on this topic, but just because 2-10% are PROVEN false does NOT mean the other 98-90% are PROVEN true. Around 5-10% are proven true, with the vast vast majority of cases being in a murky area where they can neither be proven false OR true. Why was it your assumption that the 90%+ not provably false accusations were proven true? Is it because it confirms your priors, or do you just have no idea how statistics work? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/12/24 05:43 PM
