The only thing that's unexplained is how he got into suitcase in the first place. He must have got in there himself. She simply refused to let him out. £47 is a low number, but multiply that across 100 or more thirsty guys with a 20% hit rate. Then realise he/she is running this scam basically everyday. This simply isn't a ppd. "Personal days" arent really a thing here in the UK. We have sick days and holidays. If her job isn't flexible on her holiday days (like mine isn't) then she might have felt rail roaded by peer pressure to find a way to get the day off.
