I miss my family!!!I’m 1.5 years out and am doing not much better. I hate myself, I hate my life and I don’t really want to be a part of most of it anymore. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/06/26 11:05 PM
If you have children, do you wish your Ex a “Happy Mother’s Day “ ?No | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/05/26 07:07 PM
Was the divorce your fault?I still loved my wife and never would’ve left. But she grew tired of me. It may have been my fault, but I would’ve stayed forever. I drank a bit too much, wasn’t abusive or cheating. I was/am a very involved dad. Guess I wasn’t cutting it. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/04/26 11:34 PM
Men over 45 after 27 years of marriage I haven't been intimate with my wife for 4 years. Thinking of calling it quits but I am afraid of not finding anyone. How hard is it out there?I’m 45. It’s a grind. But I’ve found a few women similar age and social history, so it’s possible to find a mate. But I haven’t found anything amazing either. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/11/25 07:51 PM
Bouncing back…Maybe a pet. I always had animals and had to leave my dog and 2 cats. I can’t handle a dog, so I found an adult cat that was rescue. He is my wingman and it helps to have someone to care for. | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/10/25 09:55 PM
Biggest Fuck Up?Drinking too much was bad for me | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/10/25 04:41 AM
Who regrets their divorce?Just filed yesterday. So right in the thick of things. Not an easy process. I was unhappy, but she pushed me out. So I was surprised. But even in the middle of things, I see it’s for the best. For most parties, at least. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/09/25 04:59 AM
AnxietyAwesome man. Thanks for the encouragement. Good for you! | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/07/25 04:46 PM
AnxietyVery cool. Thank you. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/07/25 09:09 PM
AnxietyI need a community. I’ve been leaning on the drink and weed too much. I need to get that right too. Thanks for your support man. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/07/25 09:08 PM
AnxietyGood idea. I have been working on mantras and self affirmation stuff. But my outlook is usually negative. Gotta keep working on that. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/07/25 02:26 PM
AnxietyI’m not saying I’m good. I was literally walking aimlessly, slowly just barely maki it through life. But a quiet calm session with yoga with Adrienne was helpful. It stopped me from freaking out. It calmed my mind. I didn’t want to jump off the balcony any more. Good luck man. Life sucks, but we can do better each day. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/07/25 02:25 PM
AnxietyThanks. Good idea. I can do some of that stuff too. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/07/25 02:23 PM
AnxietyThanks. I had feelings of wanting to crawl back to my wife for the first time since the separation. But I know that was just desperation. I can’t depend on others to fix or save me. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/07/25 02:23 PM
AnxietyThank you so much for your kind words of inspiration. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/07/25 02:21 PM
How many of you left because you wanted MORE?Not me. I would’ve stayed in that sad sexless marriage for my kids. I miss the hell out of them and my house. But she wanted me out. So alas. I am happier in some ways but it kills me to see me kids so little. But I guess my personal relationships matter too. So finding I have value is important at this time. Realizing I can maybe get closer to someone who loves me for me. Some hope. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/07/25 12:28 AM
Being ‘the calm one’ didn’t stop them from rewriting the story…That is what I mean. I need to make the situation tougher on her or just file. Or both I guess. | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/06/25 11:03 PM
Being ‘the calm one’ didn’t stop them from rewriting the story…I wanted to ask about filing first. My situation is I am out of the house for 4 months. We have 2 kids. All my money goes into our joint account. She has no incentive to file. So I think I am going to because the sooner it’s over the sooner I can start to save some cash. I am sneaking 7% into my own account lately. Just wondering if filing first will force her hand a bit. She has no incentive to dump me fully. | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/06/25 10:15 PM
