Tbh, I’ve tried everything from bad puns to compliments, but a simple “Hey, how’s it going?” Tends to work just fine. If they like you/want to talk, they’ll respond. Use that to branch out perhaps? That being said, also ask yourself - if she’s not being interesting enough to where there’s literally nothing to talk about from her photos, that honestly says a lot more about her than you. Don’t do all the heavy lifting.

Hey man, worst thing she’ll do is say no. She could just do that for everyone (don’t assume she’s complimenting you because she finds you attractive), but there’s only one way to know. If she says no, play it off nice, smile and apologize. But you never know - I’d say go for it.

It’s amazing how people think there’s a cheat code or magic words to say. “Hey” plus word vomit is a great go to.

Find common interests. If you find yourself dominating the conversation, it may mean that the other person isn’t as interested in the convo as you are, for one reason or another. Could be the topic, could just not be interested in talking, etc. You don’t have to shut up, but listening and getting the other person involved helps. And learning to read the room and see whether the other person even cares will help you a long ways

Hahaha that’s unfortunate. I would’ve maybe called myself out in that situation, say something like “Oh god did that sound as bad as I think it did?” and try to laugh it off. She may not have judged you for the kids comment, but you essentially admitted that you’re looking for something different than she is - she could be looking for a mature person, and you essentially said “fuck that.” Don’t beat yourself up though, you were drunk and have a funny story to tell. Live and learn, friend.

If you’ve been talking to someone for two months and she still hasn’t met up (or called or FaceTime I assume) she’s not interested. Doesn’t sound like she’s explaining herself either. Respect yourself my man - she’s not giving you the time of day, why should you put up with it? I’d move along.

I think enthusiasm - like genuine enthusiasm, not just blindly agreeing with someone - is a good thing. You don’t want to be manic, but being passionate about things is attractive. It also helps if your enthusiasm is shared. If you’re enthusiastic about movies but the person you’re talking to doesn’t care about them, your enthusiasm may put them off. I’d consider myself a loud and passionate person when the right topic comes up, but you have to read the room. If the other person is interested, e…

Hey man, sorry you haven’t had the best of luck. I can speak from personal experience that tinder (along with hinge and bumble) aren’t scams. There are many reasons why you may not be getting likes. You may be in a smaller city - it’s tougher to get matches when there’s less people. You may not be spending enough time on the app - sometimes you have to flip through hundreds of people to find that perfect match. You may even be going about this whole thing wrong, but I don’t know your profile so …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
