On some further reflection here, I actually have a hard time answering that. I feel like the RP puts a huge emphasis on 'tests' that are in reality just trivial behaviors. I'm very sorry to hear that and I'm glad you got out. It definitely doesn't make you a bad person to leave someone who is struggling and won't get help in my opinion. Kind of like the life guard thing. If the person you're trying to save is trying to drown you, you let them go. It's painful but you shouldn't have to suffer for it.
