Well. We had 2 cats, 3 birds and 2 dogs. She took 2 cats, 2 birds and 1 dog She mentioned something about doing a custody arrangement for the animals but that seemed too complicated and unstable for our daughter and the animals. So I come home to my 1 dog and 1 bird and it helps me in healing. I miss the other animals like hell but divorce is about lost. I just wished my 16 year old Father’s Day gift dog could have stayed. That one hurt. That one was personal.

I believe that me and her have completely different ideas when it comes to love and marriage. Once she got the money, lost the weight and had the cosmetic surgeries I know longer fit her life. Cut me out so she can go live all the experiences she missed out when we were young and poor. I’m contempt in knowing that I was a good husband. I wish her happiness and hope she finds what she’s looking for. Whether it’s another person, wedding or experience I wish her well. I don’t believe I deserved the…

One of the reasons she mentioned was she never got the big wedding. We were supposed to do vow renewals this year at 16 years. We married at the justice of the peace in a shotgun home. It wasn’t that bad. It was a humble beginning.

The worse part is she followed it up with “ I don’t regret having our daughter with you. You are a great father” why am I not a both a great father and husband? Made me feel like I was a failure. I’m not. I did what I was supposed to. I meant those words I said 15 years ago: to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part, according to God's holy law. Things is i am still alive but i …

It’s true that’s I will lose half. I really only care about losing half my time with my daughter. Money comes and goes but relationships are what I value. My hope is that we work through the money part but it can get ugly quick there.

I needed to hear that this morning. Thank you

I don’t drink or smoke pot. Quit 3 years ago. Best thing I did for myself. AA was a great resource. I did buy a pack of smokes..quit years ago and feel pretty guilty about. But guess what..I accidentally ran them through the washing machine. Is that a sign lol I would suggest getting sober. Best thing I did mentally for myself. My life immediately improved over the last 3 years. I’ll still have many dark days and things to process but doing that with a clear head makes it doable. Next focus on y…

I’m assuming I’m no longer in love with you tells me everything I need to know. Getting tested for my peace.

Bet. Putting a reminder in my calendar for a year from now. Thank you for the advice

I like this perspective. When my mind does race or something reminds me of her I’m thinking of a previous version that can never exist again. I wrote on my mirror as a daily reminder: “someone who loved you would never have done that to you”

I’m not. All of her relationships moving forward she will have to question people’s intentions. Are they there for her body? Money? Or do they actually love her. Not my problem but hers. I wish her happiness but I’m on my own pursuit of happiness now.

I have to meet with her (wife) tomorrow for our daughter’s new school interview. Strictly there for my baby. After that my daughter and I are going to go hang out until she goes to her mom’s later that night for the week. Not a minute sooner at our written agreed location.

I’ve hired a really good lawyer with a good financial investigator. I am taking a business like matter approach. I signed a contract and I’ll take my buyout. Closest I’ll ever come to being a college football coach.

Probably the unfortunate truth. I’m getting tested for STD Saturday for peace of mind.

Most likely. Even if I walk away with nothing I will still have everything.

Both homes are paid in full. Marital home where I live ($300k) and the new home ($1.2mil) where she lives. She inherited companies after her mom died and will be able to afford her side. Not to brag about paid off homes but relevant to the story. To add context: 2020 she was 300lbs. Her mom died and she inherited minority share in her companies. She had weight loss surgery then cosmetic skin removal surgery. In 2025 she got a large sum of money from her companies and six months later she left me…

We have 2 homes both paid in full. Not to brag but I feel relevant to the story. I will let the lawyers settle that and hopefully we come to an agreement splitting assets. I want this over asap. If these were mortgaged then probably a different approach or reaction. Honestly just made it easier for her to leave.

The way she did everything was childish. My daughter told her friends my mom left my dad in 2025 (as a joke) I love trauma humor but that cut deep. Wonder where she heard it from. Again no control on what she does in her own home.

Most likely. If not now definitely during the year long separation. Darker days and thoughts are ahead but I can’t stop what she does in her own home and bedroom.

Thoughts-possibility. My response is to get tested and move on. She’ll never admit to it.

That’s what I want to avoid. Honestly I wish my state didn’t make us wait a year to finalize.

Same conclusion on that saying. Not saying she has but that’s usually what that means. For my sake I am going Saturday for a full STD panel test. That angers me.
