So true re they don't know what they want. Online dating's still good for the fact that you can get key information quickly. Out in public, you can't tell if a woman has or wants kids, if she's super religious or not at all, and of course you know they're already single if they're on the dating site. I dunno. I've done both in-person and online dating of the years and it's about 50/50 in terms of success. Have had great girlfriends and crazy bitches from both sources.

Yeah, man, because then you win either way. Whether she comes back or not, YOU are in control and end up improving yourself. Good luck.

Oh man, I'm glad I am not the only one. I just did the same thing with a woman. Built her up in my mind, to the point where I was nervous and overly emotional and clingy and turned her off. It's the great paradox. The less you give a shit, the more you get; but when you really, really want it, nothing happens (or worse).

I raged hard the past few days, hit on tonnes of girls, and got some numbers, but it was mostly to fill a void that can't really be filled. OP, I am in the EXACT same state as you right now. Still daydreaming about the ex, and the approaches I'm making lately feel "empty". I think it just takes time. For 100% of my previous ex-gfs, even the ones I was most obsessed about, I have no emotional reaction anymore.

It does, man. And truthfully, I was only comfortable around her if we were both drinking. I can't imagine a sober date with her. Thank you!

many times, the outcome has little to do with what you say and/or do, and more about the circumstances and situation So true, OP. Recently dated a girl and I brought my A-game, but for some reason it fizzled. I went around in circles in my head... is she depressed? seeing someone else she liked more? just a flaky airhead who can't follow through? Ultimately I decided it was nothing I was doing wrong, it was just her, or her situation. It sucked for awhile, because I was getting really into her, …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
