Dude unless that country is Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria. The only thing US Forces do abroad is train with local forces or be there as deterrent or in the case of Korea and Japan party like hell unless you get caught and demoted.

Luckily they got her for it but he was this close to joining to Leavenworth and 15 years of deploying and doing army shit down the drain. Seriously though I hate when people try to guilt trip and a friend of mine, former ranger got divorced and he had to take a high risk security contract in Syria for some company. Like everyone else including his family is shit talking him about being a dead beat but it brings in the money for the child support. I fear sooner or later he will actually be dead.

National guard isn’t bad when it comes to benefits and depending on your state you’ll prolly never go overseas. Tuition Assistance is great when your Guard. You’ll be paid for your drill and if you have a decent job that’s two pay checks.

They’re your parents they are old fashioned but at least they care about you. They’ll probably not understand you but sounds like your relationship with them isn’t bad. Just talk things out of that doesn’t work just enjoy your wealth and look into private security contracting.
