This can turn out exactly as OP suggests, or it can backfire. You might only succeed in annoying the hostess, because they're busy and most restaurant employees don't like answering the phones. Either way, it won' make that much of a difference.

That's not love. That's infatuation.

You're kind of a troll. Not sure if intentional or this is seriously your advice, but hats off to you, sir. I like you.

I would like to point out that you have just thanked a bot. That is all. Carry on.

Similar but not the same. I used the word I did because of its specific meaning and connotations. Replacing 'assume' with 'guess' in this context loses part of my meaning. I'm disagreeing with you because it's ridiculous to think that if somebody asks about their relationship then they are not ready to have one. In fact, I believe truth lies quite to the contrary. People who are mature and prepared for an adult relationship are more than willing to ask should they be unsure about something. Peop…

I'm not sure what you are talking about at this point, and I'm pretty sure the situation is mutual. I never mentioned anything about guessing.

Definitely not the proper subreddit, bud. /r/relationships is what you're looking for. /r/seduction is less about keeping a girl you already know and like around, and more about how to meet more women and get laid. You'll get a lot more input from both sexes over in /r/relationships. Don't try to ask her to be in a relationship until after you've kissed her. You don't need to be worrying about relationship status right now- you should concern yourself more with turning a friendship into a romanc…

I kinda disagree here. Everyone is different. I wouldn't be okay with it if someone just assumed I wanted to be in an exclusive relationship with them just because we went on a lot of dates and hung out a lot. Making assumptions about exclusivity is the worst thing you can do to yourself in a relationship.

They don't usually ask, but they do usually wait until we've actually exchanged at least a couple of sentences.

BINGO, thank you for getting where I'm coming from on this.

There IS something predatory about a man putting his hands on me without my permission though. You guys seem to be missing that point.

I'm really not, thanks. But I'll tell my buddies you said that, it's definitely worth a laugh.

Putting your hands on me before I respond at all. That's a huge NOPE. Edit: Also, not everybody goes to clubs looking to get laid. Some of us just want to have a good time at the club.

What kind of attitude, sir? Your entire approach was so predatory that I would immediately perceive you as a predator, not as the kind of guy I would feel safe alone with. My attitude beforehand has nothing to do with it. My reaction would be based solely on your actions.

Girl reporting in to say that culture must be incredibly different where you are. After the approach, I would be considering reaching for my gun, just in case. After the apocalyspe, I would be reaching for it and actively getting the hell away from you.

Girl reporting in: I don't use it as a tactic. If I like someone, I might delay just because I'm trying to put all the words in the right order. I sentence sometimes not very well when attracted to someone, garbled and all that. Sometimes while deliberating, I get distracted by life around me and it takes even longer. Also, if I don't feel any attraction, then I might delay just because the conversation doesn't hold my interest unless I'm bored and fiddling with my phone. tl;dr - It's usually no…

Even if this was supposed to be sarcastic, it was bad. You're bad at sarcasm. Leave it to the pros, 'kay?

I can't seem to find it right now, but I recently read an article that explained this. It pretty much said that we lose interest in those who are too nice because we don't value our interactions with them as much. The less often you get a particular reward, the more valued it is.

First reaction: How did you get this far without knowing that already? Second: You're kidding, right? Third: You knew what I meant by 'penguin', yet 'kino' escapes you? Last but not least: Lurk more, young grasshopper.

Unless she's a complete penguin, she probably already knows. If she IS a complete penguin, kino is in fact a necessity. Someone mentioned to be sure to flirt with her more than with other girls. This is vital. They WILL compare notes at some point. You can pretty much enlist their help by making sure her friends notice how flirtatious you are towards her, and specifically her. Chances are, her friends will know she's clueless and point out to her how into her you are.

This. Exactly this. Seduction is a game. It's played differently from either side of the field. You're on offense, she's on defense. You're playing the same game though.

As a girl, I must add to this. If she's playing hard to get like a pro, she won't be smiling using her lips all the time. Learn to recognize a true smile, when people smile with their eyes. She might say something that seems like she's blowing you off, but if her eyes are smiling, she's challenging you.

Wait, I really don't get how your comment is a logical reply to mine. I have a personality. I would think that the guy attempting to mock me in a high pitched voice is obnoxious, and possibly too dimwitted to actually come up with a clever quip of his own. Or perhaps just too boring to contribute to the conversation, so that's why he's attempting to get attention by detracting instead. Also, interrupting is particularly un-sexy, and if I'm beginning to tell a story and he interrupts to mock at t…
