The irony is that they all dream of being picked by a very masculine man.

I think there is a Great Divergence in men right now. Most are being feminised and some are embracing masculinity.

Biphobia and the habit and peer pressure that maintain heterosexuality in men. Women by and large are very biphobic towards men, because bisexuality implies that a man has options, and will reject openly bisexual men. Take a glance at any social media where women have discussed this. Men are afraid to lose the fantasy of being happy with a woman, when they can be just as happy with a man. Obviously there are plenty of bisexual men. It might even be the default. And it's a good way of levelling t…

Some men fall for it. Recently I was listening to a podcast. It's an interesting podxast but one of the hosts is a mangina ,and the topic of safety and bears vs men reared its ugly head. Said host mentioned a man he knew of going on hikes asking what he can do to help women feel safer when they encounter him out in the wilderness. He says that if he hears women ahead he dart off to the side so they can't see him while the women pass. Why do these manginas think we owe women something? Them and t…

I reckon two other things that saved me from it was that circumcision just isn't done in the country I was born and parents there would likely react with hostility at the suggestion.

I know, but my dad had to remind me for a long time. Context: when I was a baby I was getting some irritation from urine seeping under the skin. The pediatrician showed my parents what to do. She never suggested circumcision (I asked my parents many years later.)

Also it's really not hard to loosen the foreskin slightly so it can slide back. Sons need to be taught how to wash it.

Honestly, stop. You tried to centre your life on women, and you realised it's not worth it. Time to stop. I don't understand the gynocentrism that gets beaten into men. I guess men-loving-men are less susceptible, but I don't get it. Even on the bromance sub someone posted about how he'd like to live in something like a frat house with guys from all over the world. Invariably someone piped in with "it'll be so much fun when we invite the girls." Or just guys having a barbecue. Some simp always c…

That whole women-happier-single only last until mid-thirties. By that time the men who were showering them with attention have wifed up a woman who actually cares or have concluded that it's not worth it. But I recommend all men to keep a distance. No free stuff, no invitations to parties, strictly stag events, etc.

That isn't surprising. As dar as the dark triad goes, women are almost expected to be machiavellian. Not about psychopathy, but similar: the podcast Disaffected is hosted by survivor° of a Cluster B mother. His goal seems to be to dispel the myth of all women as passive victims. He claims people with Cluster B personalities, and they skew female, are now more empowered than ever. °this is his claim.

The thing that bothers me the most about the manosphere is the whole "you gotta hustle, you need to startbyour own business, you need to bust your balls, you need to work 100hrs a week" bullshit. No. Men now have the freedom to stop pretending. I've irritated a female coworker multiple times now when I said that many men would be a lot happier with each other, but continue pursuing women due to habit and peer pressure. I am not saying all or most men, but even 20% is a lot of men. Women in general don't like bisexual men, but the men are starting to realise that they don't care anymore.

I suspect when an actor blows up/is made to blow up, the studios immediately put him on finasteride, do a hair transplant, a your-nose-but-slightly-smaller nose job, TRT, and I wouldn't put it past them to subject the man to an Ilizarov apparatus and clavicle lengthening.

Both white supremacists and tradcucks are obsessed with demographics: the first want as many new members of their race, the second want as many new members of their religion. They hope to achieve this by pitchforking everyone into early marriages sans contraceptives.

They are not taking 18-25 year olds. That's the cohort born 1999-2006 during the nadir of fertility in Ukraine. There aren't many of them and the government in Kiev understands that most of them have not had children yet and if they die childless then then it will make the population decline even worse. They are taking older males because they have already reproduced. (This comes from having a sense of ethnicity wherein to grow your nation you need to have more children.) But also a lot of them …

Swift is also a hypocrite who drones on about the poor treatment of women, objectification, etc in her songs - then dates a bad boy football player like Kelce. These headlines are saying that young men are turning right. That's not true. Men are just going back to normal. A few years ago there was a lot of pearlclutching by young women that the masculine men around them who they wanted to date at first all turned out to be right-wing or conservative. Well no sh*t. There are synonyms for "neoteny" that are more blunt. Eh, well the ostracism wouldn't go away since the public would react badly to any man who is known for liking those kinds of artificial companions, and that's a very good thing.

It's not true. There is an inflexion point where women begin to outnumber men, but it's only by a percent or two. Looking at population pyramids: In Italy, Canada, USA, Poland, and Taiwan it's mid-40s. In Germany, Egypt, India, Pakistan, Sweden, and South Korea it's around age 60. France and Mexico in the mid-20s, but only by a few percent. In Russia, Brazil, Britain, and Nigeria it's mid-30s by a few percent. Japan, Romania, and Iran mid-50s. Good job, gents, I love to see it. But I've noticed the bias too. Could be having a great time with the guys, woman enters the space, and everything falls apart. I guess I'm still that 13-year-old boy who doesn't understand why his friends are chasing girls all of a sudden. I guess you can call me "gay" but I hate the label. I'm just a man. I've suspected this for a while: most men's heterosexuality is sustained by habit and peer pressure the peer pressure is fanned by the few older men who are truly heterosexual these older men want young men to fight each other over women the older men stoke fears about love between men and portray it as unmanly some of the young men will be killed and the older heterosexual men can keep the women for themselves The Fundamentalist LDS Church has this dynamic taken to absurdity, where almost 100% …

Ideally there would be no need for militaries. I don't know what else to say. (Male disposability and male sacrifice are very bad in both those countries. It's not evil. The only time wanting biological children may be questionable is if you have some terrible genetic disease. Wanting your lineage and your nation to continue forever is the historic norm. I'm in the same boat and I see no alternative to surrogacy, even though I am not entirely comfortable with it.

It wouldn't last. With a 50% male population women already complain about a lack of men to date because they only want 5% of those men so imagine how bad it would be in a generation where only 20% of people are male. The best day in mankind's life will be when artificial gestation becomes available.

But they do want a fantasy patriarchy on their terms. That's not how a patriarchy is in reality. I don't blame these women. I'm not even a woman and I want a masculine man too.

I often say that a lot of men would be a lot happier with other men. I'll look at how men are around other men, and how they are around women and it just seems like too much work. Comp-het is a known concept in women but it's extremely strong in men too. This frustrates me immensely because a liberated man is so hard to find. Never encountered heightism among men seeking men either. The only men who put down other men for height are still on the heterosexual plantation.

I've found a weird trait in one woman I know: she is extremely attractive to men and is used to them orbiting her. But in reality they are all hoping to score. She doesn't know what to do with me because I am not one of her orbiters. I'm not going to take her for free food. I'm not going to invite her to a houseparty. It's a trap. Dangling this vision of patriarchy in front of you is a trap. Also, why would a Christian support circumcision? (I grew up going to Catholic school and actually believed it. So about the first woman, the one in black-and-white: If you don't find the man attractive, that's not his fault. Men don't owe being attractive to anyone. The way some of them talk you'd think they want men to undergo the Ilizarov treatment for them.

Okay. And what I'm saying is I've not encountered many of these masculine gay men who are supposedly so abundant while trying to date. It's also like when someone over at gaybros pipes in with "there are plenty of masculine gay men who like feminine guys" and the feminine guy who posed the question is still wondering where they are.

She was wrong. Don't talk to her again; she is not the woman for you. (This is so extreme that had you been married in the Orthodox Church, the clerics may have even allowed you to divorce her after she did that.) It was not her body that got destroyed in the process. That's all I'll say.

By following his eyes. You see how he reacts when a man vs a woman walks into a room. Also usually the mention of female love interests dispells any fantasy. I don't have any other explanation at the appprent lack of these masculine men. Almost everyone I've met myself or been introduced to is a flamer, even if he claimed otherwise. I know that a few exist. I even had a close (former) friend come out to me, and I didn't have any inkling he likes men before that.

Creep and pervert just means she doesn't find the man in question hot. A coworker of mine indulged a hot man's advances for months even though she can't stand him, while not giving a different man the time of day because he was less attractive. I was witness to both.

This brings up a good point, and I never understood summer clothing either: On the hottest days women often wear spaghetti-strapped tank tops and straight up daisy dukes, while men continue wearing T-shirts (maybe a tank top) with shorts that go almost to the knee. I would be so uncomfortable in public being as undressed as the women. Remember that weird dating podcast, which is filmed on video for some reason, where the female guests are basically naked compared to the male hosts? It's almost g…

My dad would tell me about these soldiers in the Second World War lying down on a German grenade or covering an embrasure (I dunno the English word) with his body if only to give a few moments to the other soldiers. People fundamentally misunderstand what princesses and queens are. Treating a woman like a princess means you send her to another country at age 15 to marry a guy she doesn't love. Princesses are hostages/ambassadors in their host countries, used to seal diplomatic alliances. Queens are not female kings: they are consorts; they sew his shirts, give birth to heirs, and keep their mouths shut. Queens the way most people see them are the exception. There is a reason we can list Elizabeth I, Elizabe…

I've seen this dynamic in my parents' marriage. My father is that guy who lives in an apartment like this and sees nothing wrong (like the meme). Other than that, he has not adjusted to being a widower at all and argued with me when I told him point blank that he needs to adapt. It has never been about the children. It wasn't when Anita Bryant did it, nor now when Kemal El Cheikh does it. Too many of these captain save-a-h*es out here. These so-called straight men are willingly working on the plantation out of habit, tradition, and family pressure. A lot of these men are actually bisexual, and if they could just realise it and swear off women, the entire plantation would collapse. Now as it stands, women can hate on bi men all they want, and say they would not date them, but if enough men realise they have each other, women would not be able to wield this power over them.

Honestly, I've encountered envoys' descriptions of 19th century Western countries. Mostly these were written by people from Asia. I don't know what to call this phenomenon, but it purports that men really don't have any free will or desires. It is the idea that a man will be happy with any woman and cannot tell them apart. Are you in India by any chance? You don't have to answer, but the phenomenon of hijras seems like the most extreme form of not seeing gay men as men. It seems liking men and femininity are inseperable in that society and the "gay" men are neutralized by being forced into a feminine role. Other than that I agree with you. It's interesting that there has been political lesbianism since the 1970s at the latest, while the male version still doesn't seem to exist. That's a good point about women caring about women more. Widows are better off than widowers because men rely on their wives for emotional support much more than women rely on their husbands. The most important and emotionally invested relationships women have are with female friends. As far as men-loving-men go, many men find us baffling because we genuinely like other men.

I don't recall the details because this was 3 years ago, but it struck me as interesting. Purely superficially though, the guy in the article seems to have had a very successful transition face-wise. But handsome men, of course, are not immune from the problems…

I mean they could ask women over 50.

Lol, 'man, short for human. Like 'possum.

Yes, that's a better word for it.

"been treated like I'm some beast of burden." This is exactly what male objectification looks like. For women it's sex, and for us it's labour. When people are trafficked and reduced to being a mere object this is precisely what happens: men are forced to work in construction, women are forced into prostitution. This pattern happened too where and when slavery was legal.

I got the idea partially from pop culture, and partially from human trafficking because that is where people are reduced to commodities or objects. Women usually get forced into sex work, and men usually get forced into construction. You have to look at the worst of the worst to get to the root.

That's how objectification of men is different from objectification of women. Men are viewed as instruments of physical force (blue-collar work) and violence (soldiers, police). So men dying is completely normalized.

About your third point: I use "man" to refer to humanity as a whole, partly out of spite.

"[F]ear of people speculating on their sexuality" see this is why "gay" liberation is men's liberation. If two (unattached) men want to make their relationship more intimate no one has the right to question them. (I put gay in quotes because I take issue with splitting men as a group. I don't support putting qualifiers in front of the word "man.")

I wouldn't take that as a compliment at all. It's just another item to add to the long list of times my masculinity is questioned.

There are still countries where women's retirement age is 55-58, like China, Iran, Belarus, Russia, Colombia, and Vietnam. And the female life expectancy there is approaching 80.... It's just not sustainable.

Also I've seen this at work: Straight men kid-glove women, especially young women, who begin working in any environment. I never understood it. The young woman in qurstion may be just standing and the straight men are just charmed and it baffles me. I think this relates to the experience of some gay boys, who have their friend group growing up. Then the other boys start noticing and paying way too much attention to girls, and the gay boy is puzzled because in him mind all was well with the all-m…

I suspect that is the real reason some straight men dislike gay men. It puzzles them that there are men who not only love but actually like other men and don't see them as rivals.

The Second World War still looms large in my culture, with all the stories of heroism that go along with it. For example, my father told me several times an apocryphal tale of a soldier who, out of ammunition, laid himself down on an embrasure, blocking the bullets with his body, to give his brothers-in-arms a few seconds to escape/reload/or... tbh I don't really know what. In any case he died. It did not have the desired effect on me. I always found it disgusting.

Self-sacrifice and bravery are traits that are hijacked by high-status men. High-status men, like feudal lords or kings, want other men to fight and die for them to boost their own power and so they can keep the surplus women for themselves. Even in devout Christian societies, where polygamy is unthinkable, the high status men had mistresses, concubines, and kept women. We can take this to absurdity with the fundamentalist Mormons where 90% or more of males in every generation must be exiled in …

Seriously though. It's so true. I have one female coworker, and she's not even all that, but she pulls guys constantly. She just exists and they come. Straight men have implied to me that they went to gay bars to get any kind of attention. (This is wrong of course, but it shows how starved they are.)

But see, right wingers may not realise this, but one thing allowed the state of affairs in the USSR: abortion. And it was hushed up, women had scant options for preventing pregnancy, and had to make the decision alone. It is not good for a society.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
