Just keep an open mind about it, trans people who always do their make up or wear skirts aren’t doing it to hurt women and perpetuate a stereotype, they just don’t want to be misgendered. It’s a lot easier for a trans woman to wear a blouse and do her make up and get called ma’am by the Kroger checkout person or for a trans man to wear a tshirt and jeans and get called “sir” It’s a way of presenting how they feel. I don’t think any trans person believes doing something stereotypically gendered is what makes them trans. | 1 | Thoughts on transgender people?I’m not trans, but from what I understand they “perpetuate” stereotypes to pass so people will see them as they see themselves.
