Yeah a lot of my friends try stuff like this, and a lot of times it doesn't seem like there is an easy transition into something with more substance. Not knocking the choice of dinosaur, if she doesn't say velociraptor or pterodactyl I'm out

I look at this like my limp. I've had a limp for most of my life, and I have had the worst luck with injuries to both of my ankles which gave me moderate to severe limps at many times during my dating career. The most recent of which was incurred about a month ago, and for a couple weeks I didn't go out at all until a friendly conversation with a taxi driver reminded me that it is all about perspective. He said to me, "Nah man, that's not a limp, that's yo pimp walk!!" Made me laugh and remember…

This is exactly like my life. I sometimes flash back to times when I was getting positive reinforcement, or call someone who can give me that. I know it sounds dumb, but it helps a lot to remind me that this is only temporary and things get better.

Indeed, we need to see more of this practical advice here. I never considered myself very fucked up but all of this advice is spot on for me. I feel like this two part piece of advice pertains to a very wide audience of people who would otherwise be great at talking to girls if they could just get past the first barrier of actually approaching and feeling confident in the approach. I too have trouble approaching sober and since I don't drink or drug anymore I have found that I have ridiculous an…

It's actually something that any girl, regardless of her self esteem, would do. It's basic human nature for the females to try to compete for a male of their choosing.

Awesome buddy. I do this as well, although I agree with mouthpiece on the talking to everyone thing. One thing I do is, for example, strike up a simple conversation every time I purchase something or have an interaction with some sort of teller, like at the bank. This is great because it gives me practice on approach material with an easy exit whether it goes good or not. Hell, if it goes good, I even get to a #close, whether it be on the first good interaction or the second or third.

Dude thank you lol my phone couldn't recognize the word I was trying to spell so I gave up. Guess I have the personal transportation device brand name ingrained in my head lol. TIL, any day I learn something new is a good day, here, have an upvote.

This is perfect combination of funny, flirtatious, confident and a good way to segway into a date. Possibly something a little less cocky for the first line but if that's you roll with it. If you're never that cocky then do something like "I heard from a reliable source that you think I'm cute" and then all if she's gonna ask you out. GL :) P.S. Bitches love smiley faces

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
