Let’s be real here - men aren’t funny at all. 😌

That’s horrifying to read holy shit.

Book love is my favourite one on this list. I’ve been listening to tons and tons of audiobooks this past year and my heart and mind feel so much better for it. I love how engaged it keeps me while I do mundane things like laundry, cleaning, driving etc. If you haven’t read a book in a really long time I really recommend you take the time! It’s been so soothing for my soul.

It will happen if you’re patient! You’re completely worth it so don’t spend time on these no value dudes and only pursue ones that put in the effort without asking. My boyfriend really went all out for me this year and made our first Valentine’s Day so special. This is the first time in years that I wasn’t plagued with disappointment and bitterness because of my LV ex making me feel guilty for wanting something cute. It was worth the wait for the right person.

What a fucking idiot. Hope she dumps him and levels up.

Thank you. I’m much better off now obviously without him

This is very sweet and I’m super happy that you found that connection. Everyone of us deserves that caliber of man and nothing else will do. 👑

Ooh I can relate to this one! My ex didn’t come to my mom’s funeral because he was afraid to face my dad. If I wasn’t so overcome with grief I would have realized what a massive planet sized red flag that was. I called him to come to my house after to be with me and my family and he didn’t answer the phone. He called me back around 6 hours later saying his phone was dead but I could hear his dumb ass friends drunk in the background. It was despicable.

This is excellent advice. Don’t keep moving your own bottom line to serve someone else’s ever moving goal posts. You know when you’re being disrespected. We have to trust our instincts in these situations

This is so sweet. Shows he listens actively and knows what to do with that information instead of it just going in one ear and out the other.

He’s 100% correct. Not worth entertaining a porn sick man who wouldn’t even know where to begin when it came to actually pleasing a woman. These guys literally want to degrade you and use your body to masturbate into while you wince in pain and cringe at your own lack of pleasure. Never settle for this shit. There are good men out there who will actually make love to you and make you cum every time. I know lots of men would like us to believe that is a fantasy but it’s not. 🤮

If your partner doesn’t stand up for you then he shouldn’t be your partner. It’s really as simple as that. It comes down to respect and a lack thereof on his part for you if he allows his mom to disrespect you. He validated that behaviour by staying silent to keep the peace. Feeling alone and isolated in your relationship while he panders to both you and his mom doesn’t sit right with me. Glad he’s your ex. No good can ever come from that sort of thing.

Yes that’s exactly it thank you!! It was hard to put into words but yes you nailed it. It’s not empowering it’s still putting us on a lower level than the man.

I believe you do need to see your potential partner angry, sick, stressed etc just to see how they handle themselves. It’s a huge part of the vetting process for a potential husband.

By posting this I’m not saying I agree it just felt weird to read and I wanted input from other likeminded women. I would hope my father would want more for me than this but then again, this is a very elementary male level analysis of relationships

Scars from fighting just shows me the man has no patience to deal with a situation in a civilized manner. I’d rather be with the guy who knows how to de-escalate rather than throw hands. I’d feel safer that way. Those violent tendencies can switch on you very quickly unfortunately.

Agreed it is dangerous. I understand the sentiment of this post I guess it just felt a little misguided to me. Some points I agree with but in the end it just comes down to truly knowing your partner.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/12/20 07:29 PM

Yes I agree. The scars thing made me roll my eyes. Why would I actively choose someone who has shown to be violent in the past?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/12/20 07:21 PM

Agreed completely. I’m sorry for what so many of us have had to go through. We have been severely let down by this epidemic of LVM
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/12/20 03:43 AM

It’s one of the most painful experiences anyone will go through. You feel like you’ve been screaming into a void for years before they even attempt to listen to you and at that point you no longer give a fuck.

Flashbacks to him getting angry when I would cry. His first instinct would literally to be annoyed and angry instead of making sure I was okay. Completely invalidated me and gaslit me into submission. Wouldn’t even listen for a second would just immediately be like nope not listening at all. That did so much damage on my self esteem now I feel like I can’t tell anyone at all when I’m feeling upset.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/12/20 10:04 PM

Congratulations! It’s not an easy step but every step after that gets easier. It becomes addicting to choose and respect yourself first.

I’ve experienced this more times than I’d like to even admit. I’m very wary about having male friends now. I’ve been “nice guy’d” too many times. I guess as women we are just not programmed to only be nice to those we want to fuck. I don’t need male friends honestly.

If your partner is angry at you and all they can do is pout and insult you then you have to get away from them. It’s a manipulation tactic. That dangerous emotional immaturity can turn to emotional abuse very quickly. In a healthy relationship if there is an issue, which of course there will be sometimes, both parties need to speak calmly and figure out a solution together. Don’t negotiate with emotional terrorists. Let them sulk.

Thank you for sharing your story. I was also with an abusive partner and need to emphasize how dangerous it can get and how quickly it becomes abusive as well. This type of story needs to be shared and taught to our own children so they don’t get stuck in the same cycle of abuse.

That’s so sweet. My parents were very similar. My dad adored my mom and was so in love until the very end. He used to bring her flowers, get her favourite chocolate, etc etc with no expectation. Just because he loved her. It was the best model for a healthy relationship I could have had. Very thankful.

1000000%!!! Men with proper intentions know this is the key already. Men that only want sex and to use a woman will pull out the “honeymoon phase” line once they’ve gotten their fill. Be clear about your expectations early on. No room for ambiguity in a healthy relationship/marriage.

That’s how I felt once I left my LV ex. I slept well for the first time in 7 years. Couldn’t have been happier tbh. Someone on here once said “when their absence brings you peace you know it’s time to move on”

I relate to your feelings on that completely girl I’m sorry. These blurred lines that gaslighters use to make women question themselves and their boundaries is a form of abuse honestly. With my long term ex, there was a girl that would call/text him all the time but he always ignored it in front of me but it never sat right. Once I was sleeping over, we were in the middle of sex at around 3am and this girl called him. I stared at his phone and he tried to tell me he didn’t know why she was calli…

Good for you. Demand accountability and don’t entertain half assed apologies that somehow blame you for their misgivings. The mental gymnastics these guys will do to explain themselves is amazing. Be happy that the illusion has been shattered. You’ll never be able to look at him the same way you once did and that’s the best outcome for these situations. You or any other woman can’t change a man that doesn’t want to change. Respecting yourself means walking away. You really aren’t missing anythin…

Queen energy. Keep it up. I was in the same boat with my ex that I was with for a very long time. Once I was in the “I’m done” phase, that’s when he took me seriously. Begged me to go to therapy with him (after asking him so many times before to go), told me he was ready for marriage, etc etc etc. I’m so proud of myself for not falling for it. Years ago I would have given anything to hear those words from him, but after years of being degraded, I didn’t care. All he left me with was trauma. If a…

If he’s this lazy now he won’t suddenly change if you were to give him a child. You’d essentially be a single parent. Happy you dodged that bullet!

HVM take pride in helping you finish. They should love to do it almost more than you love receiving it. Don’t settle for a life without orgasms like so many of us have for so long.

Such a simple list but it’s so rare to find men like this. High value men just act like this without guidance, which I’ve found is really the key to finding a good one. If you have to constantly coach a man on how to not be a piece of shit, he’s probably just a piece of shit. HVM: prioritizes your comfort. I.e. checking if you’re hungry, warm enough, happy, etc. You should feel completely safe and content in their presence. Anything less than that is indicative of a LVM. Your intuition is tellin…
