What I don't get is why this person proceeded to look at your post history before arriving at an opinion? If it wasn't available would he still have a problem with what you posted? The argument that person made is made by people who lack any reason or level of critical thought. The main flaw being is that they treat men and women as two separate monoliths (one deemed guilty and one deemed innocent by default). i.e it doesn’t matter if there are innocent men, if some men did it, then they are all treated as evil so if you are innocent you take it because you answer for the sins of those that happen to be the same sex as you and if you call it out, you will be shamed for it.…

I can't remember what the word is but eventually if someone 'jokes' about a group enough times, it starts to soon become clear it's no longer a joke as they now believe it, and any further joke told is no longer a joke but a serious statement. I believe this is what many are doing. That or it was never a joke to begin with but framed as 'one' to get away with bigotry.

And no it's not unrelated, they are both physical characteristics of a human being that are being used as a pivot point for generalising. As an Asian living in a majority white country I have had my fair share (although rare) of racist incidents. Whether someone makes misandrist comment towards me or a racially aggravated comment towards me is the same to me on a personal level.

Spot on, especially as I am someone who has done a very hard warehousing job which were 99% men doing the job and the only reason a woman waas also doing it because she wanted to, not because the employers initially put her there.

'And of course the common retort is: "Well if you don't do what we are generalizing then why are you getting upset?" I see this all the time as well. I think they say this as a way to avoid accountability of their hate and instead of change, they want others that disagree with to change instead. It's a coping mechanism because they don't want to believe they are the person they claim to be against. I guarantee they wouldn't stand behind their own logic if it were any other demographic.

Feminists claim to be against the draft entirely, but I think that's from the POV of the concerns of women joining the draft rather than being supportive of men. I know there are a few feminists out there who genuinely believe in equality and care about both genders (my cousin is one of the few good ones) but generally it's an anti equality movement.

As someone already mentioned on here, a similar thing was made out of boys and girl's marching exercise.
