A comment from the first time this was posted, 4-5 years ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/Tinder/comments/3poxd8/discretion_is_a_must/cwomlsp I won't provide a direct link because of doxxing... but the person they're talking about is very easy to find on Facebook. They definitely live in Canada. Definitely not married to a Marine.

Marketing material. Gotta have a seductive looking Instagram and TikTok, while the OnlyFans is the full show. Lingerie and costumes and such are expensive, but it’s just a cost of doing business in that industry.

Everything else aside..... that's not a bad move. If your majority source of income is dependent on your appearance, then it makes a lot of sense to invest heavily in your appearance. The equivalent of a mechanic investing in tools.

I've got nothing against open relationships. If both parties are interested in that, then fine. But, that has to be defined at the beginning of the relationship. Opening it up at a later point is a recipe for disaster. Absolutely zero chance of that working out, and 99.9% of the time is an indicator that the initiator is already having an affair and just wants to legitimize it.

No one owns a new sportscar because they want one. They own one because they aren't man enough to deal with all the problems and headaches of repairing and maintaining an older model with multiple previous owners. A real man would own a 2003 Dodge Caravan with a questionable CarFax report.

He easily could've taken the ad money, and immediately dropped every dime of it on COVID-19 relief efforts. $8mil will buy you a jumbo jet's worth of face masks and respirators that could be donated to local hospitals. But, no, he seems to think he's better off rejecting the deal, because he doesn't want to compromise his "values" of risking someone seeing a banner ad on the side of his site. Fuck all of the doctors, nurses, and everyone else who could use real help. The banner ads are the issue…

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but.... The courts approved of making the details of the case and settlement private, so the exact numbers are only known to the affiliated parties. The $140m number was just pulled out of thin air by some tabloid based on an old postulation of what her net worth might be. I feel like it’s cheating to be putting up profiles from SeekingArrangement. It’s very openly a sugar daddy / sugar baby matchmaking site. It’s a combination of “women who aren’t desperate enough to be legit hookers (yet)” and “men who can’t get physical attention from women without throwing money at them, but aren’t desperate enough for legit hookers (yet)”.

Depends on income level, I suppose? If dude is making $100/hr, then throwing half a day's worth of work towards a gift really doesn't mean much. If dude is making $10/hr, then throwing a full week's worth of work towards a gift is absolutely unfathomable.

To each his own. But I personally do not imagine a potential partner as a 70-year-old post-apocalyptic farmer in order to determine my interest in them. If the world collapses 40 years from now, then I’m going into the woods with a bottle of good whiskey, a gun, and one bullet — and not coming back. And no, farmers aren’t the best off. The ones who have no problem slaughtering the farmers entire family just for a few days worth of food are the ones that are best off. If you’re really optimizing …

I’m an exception there. Straight up not attracted to anyone with less than a Masters degree. Last girl I dated was an Ivy League post-doctoral researcher. Current girl is kicking off her PhD program now. Intelligence is sexy, to me at least.

Every dude I know over 6’4 tends to date gals over 5’7. Maybe not as picky for a Tinder hook-up, but it’s annoying to have too much of a height difference in a relationship. I once dated a girl that was 14” shorter than me. Got real tired, real fast, of having to bend over or kneel down to kiss her or hug her or whatever. Absolute max for me now is 12” shorter. So even if she did find someone that meets all of her requirements, is single, is interested in her, is interested in raising someone el…

That could easily be said for any race? The kid is a victim of socioeconomic risk factors — poor, lower class, single parent household, uneducated parent, drug using parent. To be honest, a weight stat would fuck over the hottest of females. Muscle weighs a lot. I think most people would be shocked to see the actual weights of various fitness models and other beauty icons. BMI would be a better rating system, but no one is going to report that accurately. Some sites use a self-rated system ("Athletic", "Toned", "Curvy", "More to love"), but that's worth fuck all. I think the best is when lifestyle factors are put on an objective scale. E.g., "How many times per week…

What really confuses me, is that one of the dude's I'm talking about, is one of the biggest players I've ever known. Straight out of the first chapter of a narcissist’s playbook. Do what you can to lower the attractiveness of your target, so there is less competition for the resources you’re trying to extract. Not just for romantic partners. Could be co-workers that want to make you look less qualified for an upcoming promotion that they want. Could be “friends” who want to have you pay for rounds of drinks at the bar, but don’t want you competing for the same girls to take home. Whatever. General life advice …

That actually makes me less attracted to them. Basically they are only with me to piss daddy off, fetish reasons or to be the center for attention for all their friends. I'm not black, but I am heavily tattooed. Exact same struggle. If a girl even mentions my ink in the first conversation, damn near guaranteed I'm just a novelty to her. It means she sometimes works extra shifts as a waitress at Applebees, whilst also selling off most of her Suboxone prescription to go buy weed and Xanax. She used to be a Lyft driver, but got kicked off after too many bad reviews of her car smelling like menthol cigarettes and Victoria Secret body spray. Gucci has sales of $9.8 billion. Their sales were up 42% in 2017, and another 33% in 2018. Forbes #30 Most Valuable Brand, with a brand value of $18.6B. The only clothing companies higher than them were Louis Vuitton (#12, $39.3B value) and Nike (#14, $36.8B value). I should be able to wear sweatpants of basketball shorts anywhere that it's socially acceptable to wear yoga pants. I'm sure that yoga pants are crazy comfortable. If I was female, I'd be wearing them every damn day, I bet. But they don't fucking belong in an office, where guys are expected to wear suits, or even button-downs. No clue how they transcended from being athleisure, to more acceptable than jeans.

Girls might get wet at that... if it's a 6'7 NBA player wearing Gucci grey sweatpants, as he steps out of a Mercedes G63 AMG, wearing more jewelry than what most houses cost. They do not want to see someone looking like the Comic Book Guy from 'The Simpsons', wearing $4.88 Walmart grey sweatpants, in line at 7-11 to get more chili cheese dogs & a refill on his Slushee. I think that's where the confusion happens.

I thought he was using the word “shop” as in “shop class”, like woodworking and such.

I'll look into it. I'm confident that I can find suppliers for each and every one of those items, and more, but shipping regulations are a royal pain in the ass. Each state has different regulations about if/how you ship tobacco, or booze. Some have regulations about knives. No clue about lighters, but I bet there is some state out there that wants verification of 18+. All it would take is one little slip up, to have some pissed-off SJWs reign legal hellfire on me. Because obviously it would be …

If that’s the case, then I’d be weirded out too if someone walked into the single-person bathroom while I was still washing my hands. Especially two of them. But wouldn’t a bathroom like that typically have locks? I’ve never in my life seen a single person bathroom that couldn’t lock, gender neutral or not.

I can arrange that, quite easily. If there is a demand for it, I can have t-shirts / hats / coffee mugs / etc. all custom printed, and sold online.

Seconds to run? My Sitecore environment with server-side rendered React components, on my company issued 4GB Ram laptop, would like to disagree. Hell, even Beyonce probably gets ready faster than this.

Right? Like, she's flat-out saying to not hit her up, unless you are really into living the simp life. My only issues are with the ones in similar scenarios, but act like they're God's gift to men. This one is going her own way. Let her be.

I went through something nearly identical, but at a grander scale. Somehow won a radio contest, with a full expense paid trip out to LA to see Ozzy Osbourne. 1st class plane tickets, penthouse suite at the Mondrian on Sunset Blvd., Corvette ZR1 convertible rental, fat stack of spending money, invite-only show at the House of Blues Hollywood, meet and greet at the Foundation Room..... trip of a lifetime. And I got to bring a guest. Of course, being young (~22ish), I hit up every female I knew. An…

His dad was a shady sunnovabitch, who spent his whole life keeping money away from his ex-wives. I’m sure the lawyers set my friend up right, lol.

Because nothing has happened in his life that would make him think that's a bad idea. Besides his father passing, the rest of his life has pretty much been a fairy tale. Won't lie... I'm envious.

When hit with the lawsuit, he basically convinced her that he blew through all his money, too. His lifestyle "confirms" that. When she "found out" that he was out of money, she dropped the lawsuit, so she wouldn't be paying lawyers any more. He hasn't heard from her since. It's been years. I don't think anything in particular prevents her from stirring up some drama. Just that all she cares about is money, and from her perspective, her energy is better spent pursuing drug dealers and simps. Know…

And related to that....... his slightly younger sister inherited the same amount as him, at the same time. She went full-blown spoiled thot mode. Instagram feed filled with selfies on private jets, shopping sprees at Louis Vuitton, a room just for her sneaker collection, plastic surgery, everything. Parties, drugs, booze, and all the other lifestyle choices left her smacking into The Wall full-speed at around age 25. She's dead-broke right now. No degree, no education, no work experience, and a …

Got a friend who is 30 years old, with a net worth of ~$11M. Got a massive inheritance from his father passing, but doesn't touch a dime of it. I think the only thing he splurged on, was a couple vintage guitars. Still went out and got a few degrees. Works with special needs children, and lives off the ~$40k salary. Lives in a modest apartment, with a beater vehicle. Pretty much no one in his life knows, except for any old family friends (like me) who happened to know his father. He's engaged no…
