Exactly, thank you! I mentioned it in a reply of mine but you explained it well better. Yet as always it's framed in a misleading way as in "privileged men backed up by the government Vs poor women"..

it hurts the cause, not helps. Exactly. I'm already against abortion bans and such but honestly as a man it doesn't make me sympathize, it makes me feel excluded/alienated. It's tiring to see that to them women empowerment is interchangeable with belittling men

Same shit when they say "kill all men", "men are trash" etc and say "this doesn't include you"--you say men are trash, I'm a man, why shouldn't I feel attacked? Not to mention, you don't even need to have ED to find it wrong that someone calls it 'limp dick' (and actually wants their protest to be taken seriously lol).

I wholeheartedly agree the "God's will" argument is stupid. And yes, the point being raised ("why cover X medical issue if everything is God's will?"), is alright. I'm just saying that the comparison is, again, one that aims to bodyshame men. There's a LOT of comparisons that could be made to get the same point across, like cancer for instance (which I'm sure would get more people to sympathize with), yet this woman specifically chose ED. (also the 41mil$/year she mentions aren't medicaid, they'…

This one (+ how "rape" is actually defined in laws) is actually one of the double standards that introduced me to men's issues in the first place (and later on the MRM) long ago. A man has sex with a woman who got intoxicated? OK let's talk about whether she could give consent or not, let's recognize it as a rape, fair enough. Surely then if a woman has sex with a man who got intoxicated then it's the same? Nope, he should have known better, if he can get it up he wants it, etc. Worse, she gets …

I shouldn't have to say that because it should be common sense, but it isn't for most people, so thank you for standing up for men and pointing out double standards about consent and arousal. Your comments were on point.

Doesn't need to be old sadly, the new generations of feminists are as vicious when it comes to spewing hate and false information

Ah right, I forgot being anti feminist obviously meant being against women's rights and hating women... Because god forbid we don't support a movement that demonizes us and actively work against us, right? We should make a "Young, Female and Anti-Male - The Gen Z Feminists Who Hate Men" article unlike we wouldn't even need to make strawman arguments like they do to prove our points since they're not even trying anymore to pretend they don't hate us (#menaretrash, #killallmen, #yesallmen...).

but more often than not in practice only ends up representing the rights of women or LBTQ+ group At first I red "LGBTQ+" and was about to comment on it but I red again. You're very right in excluding the G, it's insane how we gay men are being antagonized a and silenced in our own spaces by feminists

“I wouldn’t want to get circumcised as an adult” "Then why do you want to do it on babies and children?"
/r/MensRights26/04/21 06:47 PM

That's a good explanation actually. I still do think there's quite a fair share of people who do tweak what they read/hear for us on purpose (making strawman arguments and such), but it makes sense that the everyday person would be enclined to doing it unconsciously (especially with all the anti-male/anti-MRA rhetoric that is rampant online). I really like the "yes, and" approach as it really shows that issue A isn't always exclusive to issue B and it prevents accusations of us "trying to underm…

Nowhere did I state that men can't be emotional or that women can't be logical or smarter than men. Nor do I parade this as logic. I know you didn't state it, apologies if that wasn't your intention as I did generalize when quoting it as well, but imo even if it's not what you mean it still implicitly conveys that when you say "women argue with emotions as opposed to logic". I do admit it's how I read it so maybe that's on me; and I do agree with the second part of your original comment (how whe…

Thank you for the empathy, and for calling it what it is : mutilation. I appreciate your sentiment, it's nice to hear empathy on the issue coming from someone else than an other cut man, it shows that it's starting to get recognized - even though we're far from getting there and thousands of baby boys are being cut each day.

This is a very valid point and I couldn't have formulated it better. One issue isn't exclusive to the other. On a related note, I got from some comments the sentiment that boys were taught on consent in a way like "the girl must agree for you to have sex" instead of "both people have to want it", so I thought the "hypocrisy" comes from here : basically we don't take boys' consent into accounts. But yeah it's important for sure to be careful with this kind of comparison (though I have the feeling…

Hello, and first of all welcome. When we are talking about the damages circumcision causes, it doesn't necessarily mean that the penis isn't functional - though as you said there are cases where circumcision is so damaging that the boy/man actually has painful erections or can't have even maintain them when for instance it is done very tight. However just because one can have and maintain an erection, doesn't mean that the penis wasn't damaged - the foreskin isn't an "useless end of skin" and do…

I've been in your shoes, however I'd say it's more of a feminist problem, male or female, (shameless name calling, trying to paint you in a bad light, "incel",..., instead of answering your rhetoric) and also a problem with internet debates in general. But yeah, online feminists aren't exactly known for their bright rhetoric, and I assume there are more female feminists than male so I definitely see where you're coming from

I think this old "women think with emotions & men with logic" trope needs to die, it's really not true and actually sexist towards both genders imo to imply that men can't (or shouldn't?) include empathy and such in their thinking and that women somehow can't think with logic. No, I think the reason why a lot of women (but also plenty of men who are completely oblivious) can't even emphasize - not support but just emphasize - with men issues is because they're taught from such a young age that w…

I'm so tired of it. I'm tired of men being treated like disposable, below-second class citizens who should take it all and shut up while women are treated like can-do-no-wrong angels. Even when they fuck up it's your fault, or (shakes fist at the sky) the fault of the patriarchy. When will we hold them accountable for their actions like we do for men? Heard lost sympathy? No shit! She's a fucking abuser, and Depp had to build such a huge folder of evidence for people to even consider he might ha…

I feel the same way from what I've seen in my straight friends' relationships, the man usually bends his back backwards to please the woman and when there's a disagreement the woman tends to be the most agressive. Obviously it's not ALL women at all!! but I've definitely noticed this observation in my social circle. There's even some research showing that this extends outside of relationship contexts also. Again I've personally dealt with this when I got in even small arguments with women, they …

This just goes to show that men are NATURALLY predisposed to be mean, violent and manipulative assholes, NOT that there's any kind of double standard or bias in how they're judged!

Woah there, let's not stigmatize a whole gender. Most women are not like this at all, and there are quite a few that do sympathize with men's issues. I understand your bitterness but doing the same thing towards women wouldn't be any better than what feminists do when they demonize men and everything related to masculinity.

Agreed, we shouldn't let ourselves get worked up at every single thing random extremists say, because it would never end. Though I do agree seeing stupid hypocritical things like that on a daily basis is infuriating

As a gay dude, it's assumed you celebrate both dads on that day, since both parents are fathers. Or you celebrate however you want, or you don't. Either way, I have no idea what this lady is talking about and why she's trying to be offended on our behalf, besides trying to take another thing away from men

Also "sheds light on the controversial movement". The fact that us asking for equality is considered "controversial" drives me nuts lol

Yea the trashy women who didn't take "no" for an answer already won't stop suddenly because of this, hell for some of them it makes them even more aggressive in their behaviour thinking you're their "gay coworker" or something and that they be touchy you or drop awkward comments.

Damn man that's.. so bad. Everyone knows it but besides your average reddit thread about it there was no outrage or anything at all... and now people just kinda forgot about it. I hate it. Thanks for the reply tho

Why isn't she in jail yet though? Serious question, I thought it was already proved that she was an awful abuser, so what happened to her ?

I remember that one time people learned I was gay in high school, and then a few days later a girl I barely talked with came to me and told me she wanted me to become her "gay best friend" lmao. For real tho, it's crazy how a lot of women objectify gay men without realising the hypocrisy - that they treat us the same way they don't want to be treated by men. They're also often your basic, "you go slay, girl!"-Twitter feminists who don't stop talking about how they're objectified by the evil Patr…
