Not only are women more proficient in those areas, the degree to which they are more proficient is astounding. +24 points in writing for girls in 12th grade vs. +2 points in math for boys in 12th grade. C'mon, really.

There was this video I saw where a woman was visibly abusing a man on a park bench (as part of a social experiment) and one woman walked past and pumped her fist. When asked why she did it, she said that she was thinking "Yeah, you go girl, show him." She assumed that he had done something and that he had done something to upset/offend/hurt her. I feel like that's everyone's knee jerk reaction nowadays. Fucked up.

My favorite part of this article is when she says "You are offering them violence,hatred,disappointment, sorrows and you are expecting love,respect, peace from them. It does not go that way..." because in reality, this is what society offers to men. It offers hate and demonization and blame and expects us to just lie down, take it, and still be an active, "productive" member of our society. It's why a lot of men are checking out of society and not caring. It no longer offers us what we need.

The way I see it, it's almost a challenge to you. A lot of people see being "innocent" in a negative way, and are eager to prove otherwise. It's possible that they expected you to come back with, "Well, I'm not that innocent because of this, this, and this.." or trying to prove it by showing them.
