Would love to hear the answer as well, as I agree- I like her podcast but it is a bit frustrating to keep hearing the solution of joining the program. It sounds great, however it’s very expensive. Would really like to hear from someone who joined!

Hello! Would definitely recommend reading The Lucifer Principle, which is a very eye opening book by itself when thinking about life and society, and in particular chapter called ‘The Expendability of Males’ (pg.146)

Yes this is interesting! I would hazard to say it's because friends often have friends of about the same attractive scale (I know I've read things on this, don't currently have a source but also have realized this is true from real life) - if they see that one of their friends is dating someone they consider beneath their friend, they feel that this is a slight to the whole group and to themselves (they want someone more attractive than who their friend is dating). And who knows? Perhaps it does…

I am so happy to have found this subreddit! i was banned by this crazyhorse person as well for asking if I could create a discord. I was very weirded out when I realized most of the mods were men.

I've been thinking the same about the psychotherapy field as well - which is instead of "a lot of people have a tendency to be sad, probably for evolutionary reasons" or "man this environment is not made for us" it's "you have depression and anxiety"

I also would not have swiped on my LTR, who I met in real life. Before he deleted his tinder I asked to see what his profile looked like, and his pictures were really bad. (lucky for me, however ;) I think what guys may overlook is that while physical features are important, so many guys (at least when I was on dating apps a couple of years ago) have really bad pictures of themselves (I'm guessing because there's just not much practice with it for normal guys). Like there were so many pictures o…

Hmmm the comments have been eye-opening. When I was on dating apps I put something about traveling because my ex had been against going outside of the United States - like he didn't want to go outside of his comfort zone. And for me, putting it on my dating profile was "i want to find a guy who is okay going outside his comfort zone" - but now I see it might have come off as elitist. For me, living in a different country for a year was really important to my identity, like figuring out that I co…

Hello - I feel you. It's been a bit frustrating sometimes to hear that some people have so much less work, since my partner is working more now than ever. I read a John Gray book (one of the Men are from Mars... there's about seven of them and I forget which one it was) and took into account Laura Doyle and tried to figure out what to do from there (although Laura Doyle hasn't really talked about what to do if your man is miserable and stressed out and overworked). There was a John Gray line abo…

So, it seems like he's insecure about how much he's making and wrapping this in a blanket of 'unfair court systems' -insert other things that cast blame somewhere else. In other words, he's hiding from something, mainly that he isn't succeeding and feels not good enough of a man. For you, you can't encourage him, not really. Laura Doyle talks about addressing the man as if he's already rich, and talk aloud of how grateful you are for the things you already have. It seems like he's worried he won…

Aw, well you are welcome. Good luck with lifting and finding someone. And yes, online dating is a good tool, but I think it needs to be changed a bit. Ideally I think it would align you with people in the same attractive bracket, show video clips of people because voice and mannerism is SO important, perhaps set up a facetime with that person before meeting up so you can save on money and time, and then somehow the app helps set up a date within three days of matching so chatting doesn't just dr…

In response to point 1. I was putting on my mascara the other day, and my boyfriend was watching me. "You know what this does, right?" Him: "It darkens your eyes?" after looking at me... "Oh, it puts on your eyelashes!"

So - it will be tougher for you. There are lots of things that are unfair in life, and I do think genetics when it comes to looks is one of the really unfair ones. I always have liked shorter guys (I am 5'2"), I didn't realize that was weird until other girls pointed out that it was weird. My first crush was Jack Sparrow, who next to Orlando Bloom looked short (but now that I'm looking Johnny Depp up evidently he's 5'10 - weird he seems shorter). The crushes I had in highschool were the guys aro…

Piggy backing off of this comment to say that I'm planning on doing all social media and news detox this coming week (including Reddit, just deleted it off my phone), so u/Sobinia feel free to join me! I posted on here a couple of weeks ago about feeling ugly, and the comments there helped me realize that I was on zoom too much and also going down a weird Reddit hole of trying to improve my looks. I do think that the more you say something, the more it becomes true. If you keep saying you are ug…

Only you can know and eventually decide whether to hold steady or go. I would say that your instinct seems to be correct, that you need a break. This doesn't mean a breakup per se, but rather make sure you are nurturing and refilling yourself back up, as it seems you are running on empty. It sounds like the father/brother situation is unfortunate but also temporary. It also has been stressful times with the virus, and if you've been quarantining with everyone I can imagine that would be super di…

Yes, the way you handled yourself was with grace and dignity. It actually probably has made you much more attractive in his eyes (although it's too late!) because it shows how you stand for your values and aren't easily swayed to change them for the benefit of someone else. I am sorry you are hurt - I hope some of this encouragement in this thread helps with the pain. It does sound like you vetted him well, so please don't blame yourself.

Ok, I see - so it sounds like you have also gotten legal advice and because you can't prove anything regarding abuse, there would be 50/50 custody. And because of that, you think that the abuse would probably be less if you stay with him because if he had the children by himself it could be much worse. That is really tricky. Has he always been like this with the children? I personally don't know the right course of action here. If you were worried about your parents, maybe explain the situation …

Thanks for writing this! I would agree, and say the same things go for girls as well. I was homeschooled until 10th grade, and by homeschool it was actually more of there were no parents around and my siblings and I got to do what we wanted. Obviously I chose not to learn much math (learned the basics) and spent my time reading fiction, writing stories, and playing outside. Once I got to public school, I did really well, all A's. Which I think says more for the system than me, that I actually di…

I guess i am a little confused on why this sub keeps picking at FDS. I’ve seen some things like that, but most of what I’ve read it’s been to not sleep around, take care of your mental and physical health, and to pick carefully so that you will eventually attract a high value man, which aligns with the red pill’s philosophy of high value women. It just seems like a random sub to keep drawing attention to- unless there’s a historical feud between the two that i’m unaware of.

what i’m not really seeing, and so i’m posting, is the situation regarding quarantine and being overworked. I am not in a dead bedroom, but frequency has gone down a lot lower than i want. Since quarantine began, my boyfriend has started working around 65+ hour weeks and is just exhausted all the time. When quarantine first started i assumed we would be doing it all the time, but that just hasn’t been the case. And it is a very lonely feeling, although i know from reading different posts that I …

I appreciate the thorough reply :) Definitely understand not wanting to date her/pursue her at that point if she does come around - that often happens and it is quite ironic. I've seen some people learn from it and others not so much. Good luck!

As a woman, I would feel that you cutting things off after I 'just want to be friends' is completely justified. It also will make you more attractive and desirable in her eyes, so don't be surprised if she ends up wanting to date you. Because she reached out to you and seemed to have been flirting, with photos and what not, it seems that she did like you but was trying to keep you on some sort of backburner, or maybe was just 'unsure' and testing the waters. You making a clear distinction, showi…

i always thought this was because of how genders encourage each other differently. Women need to feel included and accepted, and then they are much more willing to change (we are all in this together type mentality) Men seem to be more of harsh love and go it alone (hero journey). I was really into jocko willink’s (navy seal) messages about the hard life and shaping up until i realized it wasn’t inspiring me and i would rather just chill with some women and maybe do a dance routine. and then rea…

Hello, I'm glad you came here for advice, I think it's a good place to look. I would agree with some other commentators here that what you have is a chicken-egg situation, because he doesn't lead you don't respect him, because you don't respect him you don't allow him to lead. Laura Doyle talks a lot about how her relationship with her husband was similar - that she didn't respect him, wanted him to be more manly, wasn't attracted to him. She kept trying to change her husband (why don't you do t…

1) i disagree with the format of the redpill, as men complaining about other men/women is very unattractive. Men complaining that other men have it better, while true (there’s always someone better and someone worse than you), makes the person complaining even more unattractive. I appreciate the posts about self improvement, because that is attractive. Women and men need each other and when both in balance bring the best out of each other. I think that’s forgotten in the red pill. (the younger c…

i enjoy reading and participating in PurplePill. While the questions and debates are often very cyclical (and I have stopped visiting for now as it’s Purge Week and just ridiculous) I find that some really interesting conversations take place. I used to visit the Red Pill and Mgtow, trying to understand where men were coming from. It’s interesting to me, but after awhile just depressing and sad. Because men and women do need each other- I think we can truly bring out the best in each other. So I…

there’s a large gap between my man and I, 14 years. (i am 26, almost 27, and he is 40). I was interested in him and so asked him out (this was before, trying to now back down from being so aggressive). He was worried about the age gap which made me trust him more, if that makes sense. We have been together for almost two years, and I adore him. He’s so smart and surprises me by being spontaneous. i often think he’s set in his ways, and then he will do something that takes me off guard. It just r…

Thank you for the advice! I think what's getting to me more right now are zoom meetings, (school and work), where I see my face and how others can see me. I think maybe I'll try just turning off my camera so I can't see my face. I've tried making a couple of Youtube videos, where I really just want to talk about certain topics, and I just can't watch them back. I really wonder how other Youtubers do it, putting something online and being ok with how they look and sound. I think the way around Yo…

Hello! So I've gone through depression, along with went to different therapists and tried different sorts of medication. I would say the most helpful thing was cutting out sugar and processed foods, honestly. So that's one thing that you can control. Even if it doesn't help with depression, will probably make you feel more clear headed and more in shape, which will hopefully make you feel better. After that - do you have people in your life you can talk to? I know it's a little tricky now with q…

oh wow. my mom taught me the same thing. i don’t blame her, she was trying to do the right thing, but even today she is really negative towards “floozy” women and men who are attracted by that. she disapproved of dating since it would “inevitably lead to heartbreak”, and she actually forbid makeup, big earrings, high heels, and nail polish. I am trying to learn makeup now and take care of my skin, but i still don’t wear high heels. (now 26)

Ah yes, got it. Agreed - I thought being desirable meant being very smart, because there are a lot of negative stereotypes about being shallow and dumb. I never was super smart, but I definitely thought the way to a good man's heart was talking about Socrates and Plato and discussing military tactics. That definitely worked in getting a man's friendship, but not in a crush sort of way. I also took to heart that a lot of men said they wouldn't mind or would like a woman approaching them and makin…

Haha well they do care about personality, but I've found that mainly means are you open to trying things, are you not too fussy, are you not controlling, is it easy to make you laugh, are you up for being spontaneous, do you get along with other people, are you not a doormat. In this past season of Love Island, there was this woman named Rebecca that all the men found gorgeous (and, she is). There was a scene though where she was really unhappy with receiving avocado toast for breakfast, because…

Hello! Thanks for sharing your experience. I feel like these comments are starting to veer off what your comment was about, which was the nature of men and women (not whether or not stripping affected future relationships). I think as another commenter said about your experience, it also shows the power of what the woman has. For me really recognizing men and women's behavior was actually watching reality tv shows :D Love Island in particular - every time a new girl walks in the men become very …

hm. this seems a bit complicated. i will say that 800k a year is pretty fantastic (i am jealous), and while money doesn’t always equal leadership capabilities, it does tell me he’s doing something right when it comes to leadership in his career. So he must have some good leadership qualities. You just moved in- was it because of quarantine or was it planned? this is always a stage of readjustment, because he will feel like this is his place, and you are going to try to find your place within it.…

There's a quote from Narnia about Aslan that I always liked, which is: "Is he-quite safe? I shall feel rather nervous about meeting a lion" "Safe?" said Mr Beaver, "Who said anything about safe? 'Course he isn't safe. But he's good." For me this sums it up, and goes along with the commentor who wrote the proverb about being a warrior in the garden. To be a good man, a good person, doesn't mean 'safe' (such as someone who never yells) A good man can be incredibly intimidating when he needs to be.…

I had an ex I really loved - but I kept feeling more and more suffocated. I kept telling myself it was fine, and tried to push off the sense that I needed to leave him. I started having dreams of him turning into a snake and winding about me until I couldn't move. When I would awake, I would reassure myself that things were fine. And when I did break up with him, although it was incredibly difficult, I felt a wonderful lightness, and thankfully the dreams stopped. It can be really difficult to f…

hey, that probably means you are getting your condoms from the drugstore, which have been monopolized by about two condom companies (trojan and....can’t remember the other). they aren’t very good because they don’t need to be- they make their money because people will buy from them. you need to go online and find ones that work for you- you can buy a sample pack with various types. hahaha i know, it doesn’t make much sense. i think a lot of fantasies are that way- they would not work in real life. i have dated a bi man before and we had a good relationship, and it was kind of fun being attracted to similar people. But bi men still need to come across as...well...masculine and straight for me to be attracted to them.

wrote my own bit about this as i am one of these women, glad to see someone commented it :) Although...in lit-erotica- i think the reason is because the characters are often very masculine and yet fall in love just like a woman would- it’s almost always written by a woman and so the man comes across with the same emotions a woman would think. I think it’s what straight women really want to be underlying men, which is a rough exterior and a very rich emotional landscape. Also! I think women enjoy…

thank you for sharing that article with the compilation of old photographs- that was quite interesting and lovely. it makes me a bit sad- just that men were so affectionate towards each other, and now that definitely would be labeled as gay. Also, some of those pictures of the men in the military, they are so young! What’s really interesting is the culture of fan fiction. Nearly all of it is written by women, and a huuuuge proportion is dedicated to straight men making love to each other. They a…

Yes. I was reading Joseph Campbell yesterday and there was a quote about a proverb which is “may you live in interesting times” He writes that this a very interesting time where we are without mythical models of what to do - women are going on their own individual quests of accomplishment and meaning, and both genders are entangled with each other as life becomes more isolated in the physical (the loss of communities) and more meshed in the virtual (finding communities such as this one). It’s no…

I think a stable income is very attractive, and it's particularly attractive when a man saves his money and spends it wisely. My partner makes a good living, but it's honestly how he saves it that I find very attractive. He saves for the future and for emergencies, so I feel safe. I am definitely going to try to retire early :) But you're right, wealth doesn't really attract me - it's how good a man is, how hardworking, and how considerate and understanding that attracts me. For myself and other…

Haha, I really like Jordan Peterson :) I've done the authoring program myself, and have shown my partner a couple of his videos (so many great youtube lectures). I have mentioned some things about interim - he feels burnt out at the end of his workday and wants to just sleep as opposed to try to do something like online classes. I feel he could use like two weeks off just to focus on himself and what to do moving forward. As I mentioned to Hammocknapping - I would love to be able to take on more…

Hello! Thank you for your kind and thoughtful response. So - I have mentioned a variation of this, because I don't currently have an income that he can rely on. I would love to support him, but I'm currently finishing up grad school (hopefully will get a job this year). I think he would feel a lot better if there was some wiggle room for himself. I have encouraged him that he can take a paycut for a job he prefers and I would be perfectly happy and not think less of him - that I don't need outin…

It sounds like there wasn't much opportunity for him to thrive as a kid - an alcoholic vietnam vet for a father and a tumultuous home, and the things that come with that. He's incredibly decisive in his own home and in our relationship - there's not a problem there. I appreciate the suggestion of books, but I am not sure that's the best way forward. If the situation were flipped and he were to encourage me to read a book about femininity I would definitely take that as a 'you aren't doing it rig…

Thank you for your thoughtful response - yes, that's very much what he struggles with. When I talk about how much he knows about a certain topic, he'll point out how much he doesn't know. He's been to therapy before - he spoke of it not being helpful. My personal experiences with therapy, even after shopping around for a therapist that fits, wasn't too positive either so I can understand this. He's also been on antidepressants that have helped him for a period of time but then stop working. So I…
