I've tried to point out the similarities between 'victim blaming' in theft and in rape several times to some of the most open-minded friends that I have and none of them seem to agree with me in any way. It always ends up as "You can't compare rape to theft because:" Theft is of items, and rape is done to a person. It's just not the same, rape is much more intimate Rape is much more scarring and evil. They're just not on the same level Don't bother trying.

The second two of the three parts were ridiculous. Blatant sexism and very clearly doing nothing toward helping men in the exact same situation. But the first part I don't feel was at all unjust. The program in the first part wasn't offered to men, and for good reason. The program in the first part was based on babies of women testing positive for drugs. I just thought it was interesting that this got in the news, odd to see a different side of the story for once rather than being a 18 year old male pedophilic predator and a helpless 15 year old girl. Stealing bikes is bad, playing fight is not. People have differing opinions on whether playing fight, or imitating gun usage is bad or not. Some feel that it promotes violence. I think this subreddit could be compared to /r/atheism in that way. Once you've already understood the major points of TRP, and applied it to your life, continuing to read the same point over and over is just circlejerking and will make you a bitter ass on the subject. This being said, that doesn't negate the necessity of the subreddit for those who aren't familiar, or new to the subject of trp or atheism, it just does no good for those who are.

One answer is that rape is more predatory than assault I like this answer, as it's something I didn't include when comparing.
