Well, there ya go!You are just demonstrably wrong?? You can't just say my sources say something when they don't lol So “ha-adam“ is translated usually as “the man” (referring to either an unspecified man or to mankind as a whole, depending on context), whereas adam (without ha) is translated as “Adam” (referring to the specific man by the name). So all the way through Genesis 1–3 we have ha-adam and our English Bibles usually translate it as “man” or “the man.” That's from the source, and it's exactly what I said… | /r/PussyPassDenied | 03/07/21 04:58 PM
Well, there ya go!Dude I'm not gonna argue the validity of wikipedia with you. Even your own sources say wikipedia is fine for general information and finding sources. just look up "is God a man" on Google. There's hundreds of blogs, articles and discussions. Many actual things posted by various churches about this Idk if you're a Christian who believes god is a man, but I'm sorry to tell you that's not the case | /r/PussyPassDenied | 03/07/21 04:09 PM

Well, there ya go!you really gonna do wikipedia like that? C'mon man, you know that wikipedia lists sources for every claim made there. If you really don't trust wikipedia, look up "is God a man" and I guarantee at least the first 10 (20?) results will all say the same thing about this | /r/PussyPassDenied | 03/07/21 03:49 PM
| -1 | Well, there ya go!Simple Google search will tell you exactly what I'm saying; everything is up to interpretation https://wikipedia.org/wiki/Gender_of_God | /r/PussyPassDenied | 03/07/21 03:15 PM |
Well, there ya go!Quick preface; I'm not christian and don't ascribe to these beliefs That's not actually true, when they say "He" it's just anthropomorphism at best. Could be wrong about this, but I'm pretty sure in ancient Hebrew translations they don't even use gendered language to refer to god. The christian belief is that god is not gendered Also, this is another case where we're interpreting "man" to mean "male" instead of human, and also partly bad translation. The actual word used is that god created ha-a… | /r/PussyPassDenied | 03/07/21 02:45 PM
