This sub has become such shit now. So many cocky newgens thinking they can reinvent the wheel. AWALT is AWALT. When I read these clearly emotionally motivated posts that provide one anecdotal example then declaim “AWALT!” I treat them the same as flat-earthers. When I see 10 of these posts all get 1k+ upvotes I remember that giving people a justification for their inadequacies outside of their control, when none such exists, is dangerous. I feel the same way about newgens applying the absolute b…

Any statistics you think will convince me for your side? I've got one. Check this out: If you don't label yourself as a MRA, I'm still open to the idea that you could be a decent human being overall, and I'll still talk to you. Try simply telling feminists you don't call yourself a feminist, see how that goes.

Looked at what /u/SRSLovesGawkerMost posted. It seems almost all of the removed comment trees originate from replies belonging to people not part of the targeted group ("I'm not a father, but my friend...", "it happened to a friend of my cousin", and so on) so they were removed as per the subreddit's rules.

Don't forget substance abuse as a coping mechanism, bordering on self-harming behavior like in people who willingly try to drink themselves to death every night because of their unique problems, problems they don't share because they're not encouraged to, cause even when they do, clearly no one gives much of a fuck.

"Both side"-ism? Shit's getting 2real4me when we're trying to invent new fallacies to pin on our opponents, just to disguise our own. Just say "you're either with us or against us", asshole, it's fine, we get it.

Not at all surprising. Not a fan of Trump but jesus fucking christ this sold out site is borderline unusable now unless I log in. Sometimes I go to T_D just for some contrast, to balance out my feelings. Then I remember I'm not even American and realize how ridiculous it is that I let this kind of garbage affect me that much. Really I think a lot, if not MOST people support Trump primarily in hopes of sticking it to the ever louder SJW-sphere.

I love when he dishes out heavy doses of reality like this, pointing out how shitty youtube is, the media, etc, and now this. Either way you look at it, the number 1 most subbed youtuber pointing out the big elephant in the room that is male suicide, is definitely a good thing.

Maybe MRAs should start calling themselves feminists. Feminism is already a diluted movement employing heavy use of No True Scotsman (or NAFALT - Not All Feminists Are Like That) to save face for the shittier followers on the extreme end of it. Maybe with enough people, you guys can dilute it further from the other end, by presenting as pro-male feminists of sorts. You need some kind of 4chan-esque level of organization to start arguments as a "as a feminist I..." whenever engaging in debates. I…

This is going to be hugely disruptive, as all it will take is a small percentage of men to leave, which will upset the balance considerably. Hahaha. Wishful thinking, mate. They said the same thing about MGTOW. Only thing that will change is you'll have more women wondering "where have all the good men gone???". They'll never figure it out because this mess of a society makes it almost impossible for them to realize and accept that maybe, just maybe, possibly, women could be responsible for thei…

Now he manages to resist and escape the rape, but because this is a gynocentric film, he acts like an idiot and fails to overpower two little girls. I see this whole thing as a kind of throwback to the many horror/thriller movies that have some serial killer dude chase after some naive young woman, who constantly goes about making one bad call after another in her efforts to deal with the threat.

Pretty much. From the article: The fainting-couch feminists are like those delicate Victorian ladies who retreated to an elegant chaise when overcome by emotion. These fainting-couchers view women as fragile creatures who need safe spaces and trigger warnings to protect them from the big, bad world. Their main goal is not equality with men; it's protection from them. Note the Victorian era ladies part. You know how at that time of extreme class division, it was thought that noblehood was a speci…

Why would one go from "gender might not be totally biological" to implying trans people do it for attention? Is it so terribly difficult to believe that one might WANT to be the other gender out of a perception that they might live a happier, more fulfilling life that way? Or does that hit too close to home for most people? What? There's no fucking way someone would WANT to be one gender over the other. Not like they have unique life experiences or anything, with some being more pleasant than ot…

Not taking stances, but I really wish people would stop posting the same David Reimer as an example of gender being biological. It's really an awful example. A part of his being "raised as a girl" was being forced to emulate sexual intercourse with his brother. Reimer said that Dr. Money forced the twins to rehearse sexual acts involving "thrusting movements", with David playing the bottom role. Reimer said that, as a child, he had to get "down on all fours" with his brother, Brian Reimer, "up b…

We're in a college women's studies course held by a sexy feminist professor. She's talking about the 77% wage gap, how women get paid less than men for the same job and such. Right then, our strapping young lad raises his hand in protest and cites the porn industry as an example where women get paid much more. The professor is not happy, and invites the student to privately debate the issue after class. They meet up and have vigorous sex in various positions, with the woman exclaiming how much w…

The irony is that men ARE told these things all the fucking time, not in the same screechy demeaning manner the image's author has adopted, but enough that "they should know better" not to get drunk with shifty women, especially if they carry valuables. Oh fuck, this is stupid even on a sub like this. Look man, whether or not the categories of "man" and "woman" and what they entail, are socially constructed or not, the idea that they are treated differently (one receiving better treatment than the other, such as higher wages) is compatible with either. I have also never heard any pro-feminist person outright say "biological sex isn't real" either. What is usually said is that biological sex doesn't hold as much importance as gender, i.e. what t…

A HUGE barrier in the way of what you're proposing is biology. Even if you solve the problem of making it acceptable for men to wear traditionally feminine clothing, fact is, it will NEVER have as much positive impact as it does when women wear it, because, simply put, men are not as attractive as women. I do firmly believe a lot of gender, is socially constructed, but one thing that is biological (or, if social, too "deep" to realistically deconstruct) is our positive perception of "feminine" t…

Gotta love Reddit's little subs and AskReddit threads that ask you to confess to something controversial. Anytime something actually remotely controversial is posted, out come the moral brigade with torches and pitchforks. Feminists are so fucking blind. One moment you hear: Bawww, women weren't given the same opportunities as men, we were so oppressed! And the next: Hahaha, women never did any of that evil shit men did, we've always been so morally superior! Apparently, in their heads, women were denied opportunity only for the good stuff, all the bad shit they didn't do was because they chose not to do it. Okay!

Make friends with people who treat you as a human being, not as a collection of body parts of different shapes and sizes. Hang out with them, read, eat out, drink, play games, hike, chat, whatever you're into. I think that's a step in the right direction. Don't expect this to just instantly go away overnight. Start loving yourself for who you are right NOW, and not "when my problems will go away", because that kind of all-or-nothing mentality is exactly what isn't going to let it happen.

The problem with your stance is that men can not embrace victimhood and be taken anywhere near as seriously as women. So in a sense, that guy is right: "toughen up" is a better strategy than "lay down and wait for help". If you think about it, YOUR statement is as feminist-minded as it gets. Like every post on TwoX blaming women's body issues on the patriarchy's beauty standards, telling them to embrace the label of victim instead of moving the fuck on, you too are artificially inflating /u/yoyo…

Women's dating profiles are usually just a list of demands. The irony here is so thick you could cut through it with a knife. 4:1 seems to be the ratio of people pursuing surgery. Keep in mind that sex-reassignment-surgery is not necessary in order to pursue gender transition (HRT as well as legal change of sex on your paperwork). The ratio is much higher if you factor that in, as there are quite many transsexuals that pursue hormonal therapy and/or legal sex change, but not surgery (both personal and economical reasons are at play). I've seen numbers anywhere from 8 to 20 MTF to 1 FTM transgender cases, depending on s…

The world can only have so many plumbers and electricians. The rest is back-breaking grunt work that (usually) does not pay that well and is easily under attack (first by outsourcing, next up by automation) leaving a ton of men jobless and even homeless, all while women effortlessly occupy all the cushy HR/PR/CSR middle-tier jobs because they've majored in some bullshit 2-year degree, are prettier to look at, and are "good with people" (a trait society has been convinced that men lack, thanks to…

Almost everything we eat has such hormones, neurotransmitters, and precursors for them in it, in varying proportions. Clearly food is a tool of the patriarchy, stop eating. Nailed it. This is not a problem with huffpo, but with society at large. These shitty studies on gender differences have become the buzzfeed of academia, and women are eating them up. Makes sense, they're the biggest spenders, a loud homogenous demographic, if you want them buying your shit, you'd be stupid not to cater to them. See MRAs? You got it wrong! You thought feminism was all about how women are never responsible for anything negative in their lives, but this enterprising little lady shows us it's more nuanced than that, sometimes women aren't responsible for the good stuff they get in life either. "I'll take this free dinner, and I want a real man who will treat me right and ultimately propose to me, and I'll divorce him if I'm not happy and I'll take half his stuff. Sorry! Society made me do it! Feminism!"

I've dealt with this exact argument before. Feminists typically claim this is "benevolent sexism" that comes from the patriarchal notion of women being weaker than men, and thus, in need of more protection. AND/OR They claim it's because women are treated as prized possessions, as in, they are protected and looked after as precious commodities for men. Which KINDA makes sense, by itself, except when you pile all the privileges women have, you end up looking at this allegedly oppressed victim cla…

"Why does the implication have to be that sex is a thing men get to take from women and women give up?” It's a nice way to rephrase that female sexuality is considered something special which men must prove themselves worthy of in order to experience. It also has to do with why female models get paid more than men in addition to being much higher in demand.

LOL! Fack off mate. You got your tits on along with your adam's apple, and now you whine about the mental health system being feminized? Masculinity is a toxic construct that must be disposed of before we can begin calling ourselves a fair society. Heterosexual white men have done nothing good for the world ever and are 100% responsible for everything bad that happens to anyone. All men should undergo rigorous education to teach them proper behavior, coupled with adhd medication because they are genetically broken anyway. My thought process has always been this: The same "patriarchy" that has "oppressed" women from all the fun opportunities men had, has also shielded women from all the not-so-fun opportunities men had. It's so simple. No need to cite one-off cases of women doing bad shit. Just consider this. In all of human history, women as a group have NEVER been in a position to HAVE to secure resources and protect MEN. They never had to. Who should get sent to hunt/fight/defend/etc? Hitting the nail on the head. I really like her here. Overpopulation and the current "work culture" is a humanity killer. When it comes to endocrinology, specifically when it comes to male testosterone levels, many doctors, both male and female, are dismissive of the issue. It is not yet fully understood and accepted that testosterone is responsible for more than your sex drive. I thought transgender people typically feel uncomfortable/wrong in their assigned sex from the get-go, until they transition. If this is the case with you, it means you were already biased towards favoring one gender over the other anyway. So you didn't have any "male experience" and "female experience" whatsoever, you had a "male who didn't want to be male" experience and "formerly male who now tries to live AS female" experience. Transwomen are and always have been women. HOWEVER: transphobes typically do not believe that transwomen are women. They believe that transwomen are sexually deviant men - and that transmen are deviant women. And sexual "deviancy" in men, and male sexuality in general, is viewed as more dangerous than sexual "deviancy" in women and female sexuality. This is part of why there are more hate crimes against gays than lesbians IIRC, and is probably also a major factor in why there are more hate crime…

I've already had this argument with another user over one of these posts. A lot of the arguments against letting trans people use the bathroom of their actual gender are based on misandry. Stop right there. If you go by the argument that transwomen are and always have been women, misandry does not apply to them. Period. You keep trying to switch gender and sex cards when it's convenient for you. If the claim that you have always been a woman is true, it's literally impossible for misandry to apply to you. It's that simple. We already struggle with enough disagreements over definitions (rape, gender, oppression, misogyny) on this sub. YOU try going to the men's bathroom while wearing a dress and see what happens. You don't know true vulnerability until you've been on estrogen for a few years, have zero male pattern muscle remaining on your body, and do not look like a gender conforming man anymore at all. There is a certain point in most people's transition before they pass, if they're lucky enough to pass, where they enter this awkward 'tranny mode' of not looking like a man but also not completely looking like a woman and s…

You'd be right in theory, except misandry isn't the main reason people dislike transwomen. It's more complicated than misogyny vs. misandry. If you understand the MRM at least a little bit, you'd know that a key belief most members share is that women have a more favorable experience in western society than men. They are perceived more favorably, given more leniency, encouragement, have more freedom of expression, and so on, we won't get into details because it's take forever. We won't debate th…

Another reason you won't get unisex bathrooms is because transpeople go about this issue the wrong way. When the issue arises, they don't ask to use -A- bathroom, they ask to use THE bathroom belonging to the gender they think they are. Hence what I said, they don't want a bathroom, they want a sort of gender confirmation room to feel good.

This is absolutely a men's rights issue because trans women are considered by the opposition to be men and therefore are being opposed because of misandrist attitudes. It's only misandry if they -ARE- men. You can't play on considerations to have the MRM fight your battles. If you're men fighting for social acceptance in regards to wearing any clothing you wish, and behaving any way you want, the MRM is for you. If you're women fighting to be recognized and accepted as such, then the MRM is not …

The most practical idea is actually in the form of unisex bathrooms with separate stalls. BUT too many people, trans people in particular, think bathrooms are a "gender confirmation room" as opposed to a place for personal hygiene and body functions, so this will probably not happen.

There are never any complaints about the opposite scenario happening; genetic females undergoing masculinizing hormone therapy and then using men's spaces afterwards. Because: MTF transsexuals greatly outnumber FTM transsexuals Their motivations for transitioning, that is, their dysphoria, presents itself differently. Consider that an erotic component is rarely present in FTM transitioners. Most importantly, there are lots of cases of MTF people doing pervy shit in women's bathrooms. How do you …

To quote someone else who replied to you, sounds like you're (very) mad that you simply got called out on being uninformed on the subject. All your paragraphs detailing your intimate/personal experience with the subject aren't needed. Transsexuals are NOT necessarily people born intersex. Both academia and the trans community at large agree on that. As for "tranny/trannie", it applies to both crossdressers and "real" transgender individuals, because it's a slur so there's actually no set rules o…

Man violence is physical, women violence is psychological. Harder to see but just as damaging. Abso-fucking-lutely. If you take a close look at things through that lens, you'll find that far more women have killed men (read: have been responsible for their deaths), than men have killed women. Men have always competed with each other to secure status and resources that would earn them female approval. Most violent crimes men commit are in some way tied to that. Women don't understand this concept…

I disagree with you. "The sun is gonna swallow us all eventually, so it doesn't matter" is BP mentality that leads to adopting all these destructive hedonistic tendencies. "I'm gonna die eventually anyway so why bother living healthy and trying to make a difference when I can get fat, suck off welfare and jack off to shemale porn until I'll fuck my brain up enough to want to be a woman and chop my own dick off" If you, as someone who has something of value to offer to the world, don't have any c…

Gonna have to chime in here and say your woman sounds like a ticking time bomb. She was raised by those calculating shrills, it runs in the family, no doubt she's learned a thing or two from them, including how to play it nice and hide it all until the big payout (which you revealed you are, as playful about it as you've been). Prenups mean nothing (she can claim it was signed under duress, plus you've been withholding your financial situation) Trust me, as soon as she gets bored, her and mommy …

You're saying something equally insulting, that it's about laydee hormones that make special laydee brains feel good and dood hormones that make dood brains feel good. Makes much more sense! I mean there's dozens of substances in very delicate balance linked to mood and cognition, there's variation in how your body makes use of them, there's social experiences which also affect these substances, like, holy shit, I can't even begin to describe how complex it is to go from substance to behavioral …

I've read your edit. Still don't see how that's relevant for one side or the other of this argument. I have no doubt a LOT more people would opt for surgery if it were a "perfect" procedure. In fact I'm betting a lot more people would transition if it were a "perfect" and socially acceptable process (as in the classic question of the "gender change button"). I mean look at the sub we're in. If you're not MRA, look at TwoX, same idea: dissatisfaction with one's sex (from simple aesthetics and fun…

Because it's hormones. I won't get surgery. But I feel a million times better since being on HRT, 10 years ago. I'm happy for you, but this alone is a feeble argument to be made when debating the nature of the condition and how to best treat it in a way we can all be ok with.

Because it's discomfort of the highest level about...drumroll...the biology. NOT the culture surrounding it. If you want to get philosophical, the two are intertwined. Our different roles are a result of our differences in biology. Over long periods of time, reinforcing these roles also accentuated our biological differences. What you say is irrelevant, because there are FAR more transwomen who adhere to traditionally feminine societal treatment than transwomen who adhere to male societal treatm…

Male and female are synonymous with man and woman in many languages that do not have different wording for them. Apart from that, colloquially, man means male 99.999% of the time, same goes for female. Gender is a man-made definition, sex is not. Why not leave it at that? Oh I know. it's about people moving outside their roles. Here it comes! Is it?? Can you please explain to me how trans people and their allies can say they're for breaking gender roles and whatnot, but enthusiastically support …

What do you mean by scientific? Nearly every manual on anatomy and biology has the same definition of male and female. It comes down to chromosomes and reproductive function. It's a definition that works well for 99.99% of the population at the least. I don't see people like you arguing about androgen insensitives using the woman's washroom Washrooms are for hygiene purposes, they were never intended to be a gender identity confirmation room, so things can get fuzzy when you want to discuss whic…

No, it's not good at all. He's mixing different game types and skill systems into one big clusterfuck of an analogy. He could have just said something like this and avoid wasting all that time pretending not to be a condescending windbag: Imagine life is like WoW. LOL Dude, of course they analyzed gray matter and not white. White matter is just myelin on top of neurons (acts as a sort of insulator and aids signal transmission between neurons) and not really associated with actual cognition. I don't understand why you oppose research like this. You really ought to support it. More and more pussified, beaten down beta dudes choose to undergo sex reassignment to live the hyper-privileged life women have. Instead of addressing the root of the problem, they an…

Wishful thinking. Vast majority of twitter's userbase will be just fine with this policy. They said the same thing about reddit and nothing happened. I hate to say it, but most people use these sites for entertainment and don't actually give a shit about privacy or freedom of speech. We like to think it's a big deal when we look at reddit comments, but the people who comment make up less than 1% of the site's total visitors.

There's a reason 99% of people on this sub are white. It could be 100% white so long as no one's barring any race or gender from fully participating in discussion so I'm not sure what you're trying to say.

LOL get a load of this kid. Oldest troll tactic in the book: go to a message board and post inflammatory statements phrased as questions, that way you get to stir shit up while keeping a clean slate, cause you're not TECHNICALLY accusing anybody, you're just asking questions, right shitbird? Huh? Who are all those MRAs that are so eager to tell you (plural) how blacks and muslims are crime bombs? Show me something vaguely looking like a representative sample. Btw, it's true anyway. Higher crime rates per capita among those groups, and also white men do commit more murders overall than white women. What exactly are you trying to say, because these raw numbers alone mean nothing. Try to make meaningful conversation instead of making some bullshit loaded questions.

What would it matter if you lived longer or otherwise? Marriage is a bad enough deal as it is, marketing it with the longer lifespan sounds silly. "Commit yourself to an entitled woman, experience universal underappreciation as you work yourself to death to support her and some kids all the way to college (where they will learn men are the worst thing ever), and you'll live 2-3 years longer which is almost as much as women normally live!" And that is if you aren't part of the 25% of people who g…
