Good luck brother. I hope I haven’t come across as unsympathetic. I just don’t want you to get screwed out of what’s rightfully yours and so many dudes make mistakes out of “being nice” to their stbx wives.

Go back? Has she switched locks or something? That’s your house, mate. Just make sure you’re recording all interactions at the house in case of a false domestic violence accusation

To be fair, it seems liken a weird place to post that kind of question honestly. Not only that, but feminists are by and large awful people, and as such, would usually only offer up awful answers

Stay in your home? You should be doing that anyway, if you have children. No sense moving out of what's yours until the divorce is final and you've sold it

Do this, OP
/r/Divorce_Men01/02/23 06:30 PM

Swaths of people on the left actively despise men. I’m more tired of that than right wing bullshit

LMAO this got me

This was my experience as well. I had to file for the divorce I didn’t want and do all the leg work on paperwork, parenting plan, etc. My ex wife was as lazy on the divorce as she was in the marriage. I had to do all the heavy lifting, nearly all the time and she wonders why sometimes I was unpleasant and stressed out lol

This might sound like an overreaction to some, but as someone who had warning signs early on in my relationship with my ex wife that she wasn’t supportive, this type of shit doesn’t ever get better once the relationship gets longer and more emotionally deep. She sounds unsupportive and uncaring. Get out, OP
/r/MensRights30/01/23 04:00 AM
14

OP, it’s so hard to hear it, but most of us here were all in this same place - nothing more than numbers and dollars to our once-loving spouses. Get your game face on, file for divorce, get through the pain (so so much pain) and on to the light at the end of the tunnel. It will get better. You will be ok. You can do this!
/r/Divorce_Men29/01/23 07:43 PM

Holy fuck, seriously, OP. Do it! Do it right now!

Just wondering why you’re deleting the ones with your kids in them? No judgment, just wondering. I’ve kept all the photos of us when we were a family, because I don’t want to forget memories made with the kiddo, even if they included the cheating ex wife. Good luck to you, regardless. It’s a process that we’ll likely always be going through, but it does get easier

You're in denial, mate. This marriage is over. Your wife has been laying the ground work little by little and she's now checked out. Don't beg, don't plead and don't simp. Judging from her behavior that you've described, with the hiding of screens and being uber private, I'd wager she's having an affair. Give her what she not only wants, but she deserves with how she's treating you and your marriage - a divorce. Don't give her her cake and let her eat it too. And don't let her get settled into h…

The fact they’re essentially admitting that being female gives women a “leg up” in custody rights is mind blowing but they probably don’t realize it

9

OP, trust me when I say this: you’re going to be fine. Not only will you be fine, but you will be incredible. It’s just a matter of when. This is all going to suck for a period of time, but commit to growing yourself through this process and you will come out a better version of yourself and someone who you’ll love looking at in the mirror. Fight like hell for the custody that you want and deserve. And never give up that fight. Your daughter needs you every bit as much as she needs her mom. Don’…

100% this. My ex wanted to co-parent and I said nah fuck that. Parallel parenting for the win. That bitch sucked enough life out of me during our marriage. She gets no more of my energy. And in turn, it makes me a more sane, fun dad for the kiddo.
/r/Divorce_Men09/01/23 02:28 AM
15

Mine also thinks she was the perfect wife. She was shocked when I told her that I didn’t really like who she’d become after the divorce was final and the dust had settled. I told her it didn’t make sense to remain friends because I don’t have friends I don’t like as people. Fucking clueless and zero self-awareness and also blames everyone else for problems she has within their relationships

she’s not a liar Proceeds to tell us she’s a thief (just another form of deception) Mate, she’s not your fucking friend and you need a fucking lawyer. Do not trust this woman. The person you married is dead and has been replaced by someone who sees you as the enemy. Time to see the same

I’m at one year and two months post ex wife’s friends accidentally telling me about her affair partner, and 1 year post hiring a PI who showed me proof, and the ex wife TO THIS VERY DAY still tells me she didn’t cheat. I also received incriminating texts and calls from blocked or throwaway numbers from someone(s) telling me about the affair during that whole shitshow timeline. Women don’t want to be held accountable and they don’t want to have to cop to their misdeeds

I’ll never leave this sub for the exact opposite reason - I WANT to be reminded to never be a fucking idiot ever again. I also continue to post and chime in where I see fit to help other men still mired in shit or about to be, that they can keep going, that things will get better for them, etc, etc

“You don’t just commit suicide” crowd That crowd is mostly women who don’t have to just commit suicide because they have option after option that simply aren’t provided to men. And the men in that crowd are there because they’re naive, having not been in that situation themselves….yet and thus have zero context For the vast majority of men, committing suicide is the only option. It’s fucking tragic

I understand that, though he’s justifying it with the “our love is different” bullshit
/r/Divorce_Men27/12/22 01:16 PM
5

Same for me. Mine was different as soon as she got that ring on her finger. Didn’t even wait to become different until we were officially married. It was subtle at first though - the majority of her transition to who I grew to loathe looking at did come once the “I dos” had been exchanged.

Where do we start, boys? OP, every single one of us in this sub loved our wives more than anything. We also thought they loved us as well, and for some of us, they probably did. But they all changed during the marriage. For some of us, the changes were almost immediate, once they got that ring. For others of us, the changes took years or decades. But our wives all became something different than what we married. Don’t get married man. But you’re going to anyway, because “she loves me and I love …

OP, cooking and baking are the shit! I have always found it relaxing and joyful. I love taking recipes and doing minor or major twists on them to fit my likes more. Most times I end up making something delicious. Only a few times have I said, “well I ventured too far off the recipe.” My 4 year old daughter also loves when we cook together and she claims all the time that she wants to be a chef

The entire western world sees men as nothing more than walking ATM machines. Best course of action men can take is to just walk out of the equation entirely. Don't marry, don't cohabitate, don't procreate. This will of course end up being the downfall of society as we know it, but honestly at this point, it's likely the only thing that will tip the scales back to a more favorable experience for men
/r/Divorce_Men19/12/22 11:06 PM

My ex wife - this will sound hyperbolic - became a completely different human being literally the night of the wedding. My mom was the one who finally broke through to me to make me see it, when I was still wearing rose-colored glasses. I remember the first time it started to make sense, she said, "Honey, the person who came home after the reception was not the person you fell for. I was so blown away, because brides are supposed to be euphoric and so in love, but she was disappointed.” Her days…

I mean, I don’t think my ex wife loves my daughter. I think it’s more codependency. Luckily, my daughter seems to realize that at some level and really wants to be with me all the time. I’m sure once she’s old enough to more or less decide, she’ll spend the majority of her time at daddy’s

There’s literally so many of us, mate. Lean on this community and never hesitate to post or reach out to just about anyone you see post here, myself included. My divorce was by far the most devastating and painful experience I’ve ever dealt with, including the lifelong abandonment issues stemming from my father walking out on us when I was just two and never looking back. My ex wife demolished me. The year we were separated felt like 5 or 6 years. I lost weight, stopped eating, suicide ideation,…

Your time in hell (a hell everyone in this sub has experienced) is molding you into the man of your dreams, as long as you stay the course and work on you. You’re a fucking king. And sometimes kings hit rock bottom. But they always rise, and that’s what you’re going to do. Cry, weep, depress, whatever you need to do to get that shit out. Then pick yourself up, dust yourself off and push until you have to cry and weep again. Then do it again. You’ll make it through this. We all have and it gets s…

Last tid bit from me and then I’ll stop bugging ya. I was in your exact place just over a year and a half ago. Wife walked out, I tried desperately to “fix” it any way I could, and she cheated on me with a co-worker of hers. My daughter was 2 at the time we separated. I was so anxious to keep her family together I was willing to put up with everything her mom did to me, including the affair. She didn’t give a fuck about how hard I worked. She was gone and she didn’t love me anymore. I considered…

The why is because she sucks. You won’t get closure from her, mate. You’ve got to give yourself closure. Whatever happens, was always going to happen, regardless of anything you could’ve/would’ve/should’ve done better. We all make mistakes, and while it’s good to think about them so we can learn and grow, it’s not good to dwell on them. She stopped loving you because of her, man. She quit on you and your family. No one forced her to do it. No one forced her to step out on you - to break her vows…

The advice you’ve already gotten is stellar and should be followed to the letter, so I’ll speak to a different part of this….You no longer have a wife, mate. This will be tough to swallow, but I reckon she’s already seeing someone else, and in all probability has already slept with them. You are going to feel immense pain - it’s truly indescribable. If hell is a place, I imagine it FEELS like that - pure agony. Stay the course, man. Take care of your daughter and hold her every chance you get. S…

Unfortunately, I think there’s a lot of men out there in similar situations, but men have been conditioned to put themselves last at all times. Our needs are secondary or even non existent on the priority list and we’ve mostly just grown accustomed to it. My ex FIL said during our conversations that he’s had to learn to sacrifice his needs so he could keep his family together. He doesn’t even realize how unhappy and unfulfilled he is within his marriage. It’s so sad. My ex wife resented her mom …

It very well might be that she’s mean though. My 4 year old daughter tells me regularly that “mommy is mean to me” or “mommy gets mad at me a lot.” Then the dumb bitch of an ex wife asks me, “why does she hate me?” Gee I dunno. Could be because you’re a total asshole to everyone all the time lol Edit: Also, OP, don’t tell her. I’ll just speak to number 3, from my experience. I was married to someone who grew up Mormon. It’s not misread. The majority of women who “attempt” suicide do not actually intend to kill themselves. They know damn well people will flock to them and care for them afterwards. Meanwhile, the men actually want to die because no one has ever given a fuck about them, and never will, so they pick up a gun and put into their mouths.

Lol my ex wife and her family toss abusive around a lot on me. My wife and I argued and occasionally I yelled (most times due to being completely ignored for a length of time about something I kept asking/bringing up). To a majority of women, anything we men do that they don’t like is abusive

Many of us in this sub liked to think our wives weren’t having affairs, and a majority of us were proven wrong. Mine had an affair with her coworker and I found out via her friends accidentally spilling the beans about “the other guy” while at my ex wife’s brother’s wedding of all places. I don’t necessarily disagree with much of what you wrote. OP, even if the divorce IS filed in Utah ultimately, you should have a good shot at 50/50. Many judges here are moving to default 50/50 custody except in cases of abuse. Like some others have said, make sure you know your Hague law, but if you do need to file in Utah, I’d suggest doing it yourself and in West Jordan court. That’s where I filed and was awarded 50/50. Good luck to you, brother

Believe me OP, I get the need to recharge, but I have to be honest here too. Kids come first - ALWAYS! Your ex is a bad person and a terrible influence. You need to put their needs above your own and get full custody, get her to pay you CS and then use a bit of it to get a nanny or something a couple hours one day a week and then go hog wild taking care of yourself in that time. Is it ideal for you? No. But it’s what’s ideal for the kids first. God bless

I get what you mean about wanting to be a father. It was always my ultimate goal. I wanted more kids than the one I got, but my mom has been suggesting adoption, surrogacy, or fostering. I just get a pop up that says private community. Using Reddit app that is. Is it different if I’m on a browser? Thanks by the way

As someone who has just come out of the dark tunnel and into the light - Can Confirm. Those of you who choose to push through and work on yourself and rediscover your passions, will be rewarded with the understanding that this is the best thing that ever happened to you. Much love to all of you still in the struggle. It’s so worth it on the other end

I thought I knew this person, I did not Truer words never spoken. Women become completely different people during these times. My stbx transformed into someone unrecognizable. OP, protect yourself. Don’t believe a damned word that woman is saying. And be careful what you say around her
/r/Divorce_Men28/03/22 02:50 AM

That does seem cheap. The mediators quoted us 3600 flat fee to do everything from start to finish, but damn is it a lot of money
/r/Divorce_Men04/10/21 07:56 PM

Actually in this same boat and got worried enough that I deleted all the dating apps and decided I could wait the month until the mediators have drafted our decree. It’s not worth the risk Also, OP, how much are you paying this lawyer to draft the divorce agreement up and how long is that process going to be from start to finish?

Wait what?! Why would the birthday be missed? You guys rotate birthdays?!
/r/Divorce_Men29/09/21 01:29 PM

So much this. I enjoy being around men more than women (I think we all do). Men are stress free and genuine. They’re drama free and usually state their mind. They don’t play games. They’re just more enjoyable to be around. The only reason I spend time with women is because I like boobs and vagina. If sexuality was a choice, I doubt many men would choose the hetero route

Don’t think it will be all that hard pushing it until she graduates. My wife seems to be in no hurry, either out of a desire to torment we while I wait in limbo, or until she’s in a better place herself both financially and mentally (without the school stress). Fucking bitch
/r/Divorce_Men14/06/21 11:27 PM
3

I see 50/50 all over the place but am confused at what it means exactly. Do you get your kids 50 percent of the time? Im about to begin this fight and I’m the better parent (my wife has even admitted to not being a great mom during this past year doing her masters degree). I love my kid more than life itself and I won’t settle for anything less than 50/50, if it means what it sounds like. Also, any advice on how to fight the alimony and child support bullshit? My wife currently makes squat, sinc…

All the things
/r/Divorce_Men27/04/21 03:01 AM

Oh it’s been my hypothesis since the very beginning. She’s got a brand new friend within the last few months who is a single mom with three kids, fathers aren’t in the picture at all, and I’m sure she’s pumping my likely ex wife full of feminist woman-power bullshit all at the expense of our perfect little girl who has done nothing wrong. And yeah, I don’t expect sympathy for getting married. I just want best courses of action to ensure the best results for my daughter
/r/MGTOW225/04/21 11:27 PM
1

She does. Part time while she finishes her masters degree. She’s already been promised a roll after she’s done making 80-85k annually, which is a hair more than I pull in working overtime. I’ve considered quitting my job and going into something I’m actually interested in (carpentry, woodwork) and that would be an obvious pay cut. Some folks have suggested doing just that so the money earning is skewed. I’m fine paying for my kid equally, but I hate the idea of alimony, especially if she’s actua…

Thank you. I’ve always been anti marriage, but the pull to be a father has always been my ultimate goal. I’d considered adoption but that route didn’t seem plausible due to being a man and adoption being a shit show anyway. Sucks that I created this perfect baby girl and she could be ripped from me

I reached out to several who specialize in male representation but unfortunately everyone is closed for the weekend. Monday morning, I’ll be spending hours on the phone first thing. I’m intrigued by the calling of numerous lawyers though...what does the conversation have to entail in order for my wife to be blocked from using them exactly?
/r/MGTOW225/04/21 03:34 AM
2

Thank you for this. I’ve already started discussing the lower paying job and other things you mentioned with my mom. She and I reached out to several lawyers today and she encouraged me to start recording any and all interactions with my (ex)wife from here on out and to start record keeping as well. I was planning on “making it work” until my child was 18, but obviously that plan has gone belly up

My wife and I met with a female therapist during the first year of our marriage (working out the kinks as marriage newbies). The very first session, she kept slipping in toxic masculinity this and patriarchy that. We saw her a couple times after that, but she never provided us with anything other than I needed to work out the problems I brought to the table. My wife commented on how the discussions were always so me facing versus us facing

Easier said than done most times...6 years ago I went through a devastating break up - it left me emotionally crippled. My family could tell I was spiraling and asked me to reach out to a therapist. I was terrified of the thoughts that were starting to creep in so I did. I called round and round to countless therapists and the soonest I could get an appointment was over 3 months out. When you’re suicidal, three months is a lifetime. I kept trying, kept getting told no or not now, my mental healt…

This is exactly the issue for me. Pre-marriage and children (2nd) on the way, I saw a therapist once a week to help treat my depression and various issues due to abandonment as a child. Post marriage - not a single day in therapy. It’s just too expensive. I have a wife and kids to shelter, feed, clothe and put diapers on (the kid, not the wife lol)

I’m starting to foresee a point in time where men just give up on keeping civilization going, building, creating, working, etc due to the vilification of our sex. Not only that, but a small sect of men who become angry - angry to the point of violence and terror. It’s going to be interesting what the rest of the group of men will do when that time comes. I think a lot of young men nowadays just need the care from an elder male. Most school shooters come from homes without dads. They have no dad to talk to, to learn from, to get hugs from. Young boys without fathers suffer from anger building up with no release valve and it can lead to this shit. As a society, we’ve got to start interjecting in this vicious and deadly cycle before these boys pick up the gun. A lot of em just need a god damn hug and an elder male to give a shit about them on a reg…

She was looking for approval.

That’s my opinion as well. My dad was out of my life when I was 2. My sister and I have always done a dinner for my mom on Father’s Day. She did both jobs. She played catch with me. No doubt. The smartest approach is to be cautiously optimistic about anything benefitting men. There’s usually an ulterior motive when that happens. It sucks it’s like this

Lol I wouldn’t doubt it

Yes please. Stop using fucking google. That company is as SJW as can be
/r/MensRights06/06/19 01:28 PM

Oh for sure. At least this one does provide men with something of benefit as well. I’m just happy I married a woman who doesn’t just see me as a work slave to provide for us. And she’s zero percent feminist. Most women out there aren’t worth a damn, as far as wife material goes.
/r/MensRights06/06/19 01:26 PM
3

I’m sure that’s the case, but it would also benefit men like me, who just want to be home with the fam. Feminists are trash people. They will find a way to make everything about them. At least on this issue, there’s a benefit for us men.
/r/MensRights06/06/19 01:24 PM
2

It’s the same for me. Work is something I’d rather not do, but I HAVE to. I’m just trying to get through it until 4 o’clock comes around and I can race home to see my family
/r/MensRights06/06/19 01:21 PM
4

How so? I’m genuinely asking your rationale. I’m a dad who only got to take a week off when my wife and I had our first baby. My wife took three months off. I would’ve killed to be on leave for at least a few weeks longer, spending time with my recovering wife and baby girl. There’s plenty of men who feel the same. Leave is every bit a men’s rights issue

My man, I was in your situation about 4 years ago. I won’t bore you with all the details, but I made the attempt and was thwarted by my mom. Fast forward through the last 4 years: a behavioral health ward hospital stay, two plus years of intense therapy, and finally coming to terms with never having a father. I found a loving partner and married her. We have a baby girl who is about to turn 10 months old and I finished my degree and started a career. All possible because my mom stopped me and ev…

If a man murders another man, he should be put to death. The men who killed other people, and were put in jail as a result, deserve to be there lol. What are you even talking about? And stop using ‘of’ where it should be ‘have.’ For fucks sake

I find it hilarious you’re painting with such a broad brush. Are there *some conservatives like this? Absolutely. But there are many more conservatives I come into contact with who do make donations to shelters, food banks, do volunteer work, etc. And it’s laughable you’re using death penalty support as some kind of argument. People who murder other people should be put to death. Unborn babies who go on murder sprees should also be put to death, but I can’t recall a single “fetus” who can even b…

Goodness. A lot to take in there. I’ll just count myself lucky that I was surrounded by women who did nothing but tell me I was important and handsome and special. That lead me to a wife who makes sure to always tell me all that same stuff. I did grow up without a dad, and that presented me with many struggles and heartaches, but my mom really drove it home that I was the best and that I deserved love.

Very true. But your chances go very much down. Still safer than staying single and boinking random chick after random chick. It doesn’t mean ALWAYS being honest. I lie to my wife constantly: about her looking great when she doesn’t really or about what happened to her pint of Ben and Jerry’s that she swore she still had (I ate it). You don’t lie about children. That’s a fucked relationship if you are. It leads to resentment, betrayal, etc. gimme a fuckin break. She’s putting her own needs above what sounds like his very biggest life goals. That ain’t love
/r/MensRights28/03/19 09:08 PM

Just because it’s difficult doesn’t mean she has a right to continue being a selfish asshole. This isn’t like she bought his favorite candy bar but doesn’t want to share, so she’s hiding it under the mattress. This is a life altering thing and she’s just playing him for a fool. And really loving someone means being honest about something like this whether you lose him or not. This sounds like some middle school “love”
/r/MensRights28/03/19 09:01 PM
2

Yep. She’s being a selfish bitch
/r/MensRights28/03/19 08:56 PM

No. It’s ok for her to be scared. It’s not ok to continue this facade with her SO. She’s lying to him and doesn’t deserve an ounce of understanding. The parties in the relationship want vastly different things. Time to cut the bullshit and be honest with him and let him find the person his goals are compatible with

They’re not just trying to disagree with people that say things like him, they are trying to limit their ability to say those things. That is an attack on free speech. I’m fine if they want to say men don’t matter, but they’re not just doing that. They go after anyone who says stuff in support of men and make sure they can’t continue to support. As a person in a men’s rights sub, I can’t believe I’m even having to answer that question. I guess some of us MRAs really are ok with being censored/pu…

I’d guess it’s because go try to tell modern day feminists that men matter in families, to children and to the world at large and see what response you get back. Probably along the lines of “shut the fuck up” I reckon. Anyone see what happened to Terry Crews when he said men are important to the family unit and the raising of children? That’s right folks, he was silenced!

I get that aspect. But you’re out of your mind if you don’t think every single men’s rights sub isn’t lumped in with things like the alt right already. By being a part of men’s rights, every single one of us is already likely being painted as neo-nazis. That’s how volatile this whole shit show is. I’d just as well not give a shit about what those kinds of people think. Cheers, mate

I agree. My man, it starts to help you heal. My “dad” was outta my life when I was 2. My baby girl is about to hit 7 months. It’s been the best 7 months of my life. I’ve been ok dealing with the women who are for the video. It’s the few men I’ve come into contact with that push the video’s merit. I can’t understand the self-deprecating man. That video shit on all men, yet some are pushing the feminist narrative that it was needed and ‘we’ should listen.
/r/MensRights19/01/19 03:25 PM

I can’t recall which comedian it was, but he had a sketch about the differences between men and women. It was centered around how a man is most content thinking/doing nothing at all and how that drives women crazy. I think women simply can’t wrap their heads around how we can just be content in our own minds (because they can’t be) and viewing it as a defect is the only way to come to terms with it?

How is this posted again? Not even a pussy pass being denied. If she were a man, she would’ve been turned away too. This is a dumbass pass being denied

Hey, to each their own. I never had a relationship with my dad, so getting to be one to my own kids has been a lifelong goal

You sound like a kick ass dad. I hope everything works out for you and your boy. God speed if you decide to pull the trigger on a split with your wife. Custody battles can get ugly (for the dad).

God damn am I lucky to have found a wife who can’t wait to be a nurturing mom. She’s pretty old school. Being a mom is her primary focus and I just can’t wait til our baby girl gets here in under a week and I get to watch her care for her. Motherly women are a dying breed

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
