I am an Atheist and have no fear of dying. Death isn't scary. It may hurt for awhile, but you will never know you ever even experienced it or existed when you're dead. People freak out when a random man gets brutalized because we are concerned about what the man did, not the person who died. There's no shame in dying.

Yes, because human behaviour is also deeply rooted on doing things that make us feel good. That's actually the driving factor of human nature or people would never do things like take drugs. It might kill you, but feeling good trumps that.
