You guys are speaking my language. Would love to have acreage where i could really delve into permaculture. A year round greenhouse so i could make fresh salads every day. My day spent drinking coffee and minding the chickens, puttering in the yard and helping all my friends around me.

I agree. Its good to question. Ive thought many times my mom was jealous of me and when trying to talk about it was shut down. As if that couldnt be and i shouldnt think that. She's supportive after the fact. Like shes so proud of me owning my own home but did nothing to help me get here. I dont think she gets the right to brag about what a great adult i am when its my hard work that got me here. Trying to explain that makes me look like a bad person. Especially as on the surface she looks good.

Or low contact? I find my mom and i get along and then she does or says something and im left wondering why/how i believed she was any different. I put up boundaries and then she slowly tears them down, until im telling her everything. Its hard when she seems so supportive but will have all these little comments. Im so used to them that they go over my head until she really says something rude and then i realize all over again.

I can relate to this. My mom does everything for my dad, always has. He seems to do less and less. No upkeep with the outside house stuff, no vehichle upkeep. All things he knows but hes to busy helping other people. Its so sad to see my mom feel trapped. To be upset with her and yet feel sorry for her. I see my brother is better but yet has a lot of the same traits as my dad, with his gf. My dad who scoffs and jokes. There is no depth there. I text him but he doesnt respond. No interest in his …

I became friends with the one guy who i worked the most with. He was having marriage troubles and i was someone to talk too. But our lunches together and our "closeness" made people speculate. So much so that they came and got me when his wife left him while he was at work. I didnt understand why he got so mad when i patted him on the shoulded and shrugged saying something like i thought you said she was a bitch. I guess he had also been talking to much about me at home and had gotten some of hi…

I think it should be talked about more too. I got myself into a few situations when i was younger because i didnt understand how my actions were viewed. I was 22 and these were men i worked with who were 15+ years older than me married with kids. It never even crossed my mind that people would think i was sleeping with them.

There was one where she said they had been together for 4 years. She had just turrned 21. He was 40 something. They had a baby and he had an older daughter she looked after. The mil treated her like trash. All the comments were people doing the math lol

I found no one would take me seriously until I was in my late 20s. Also when I was trying to become better at listening and having a conversation I realized how many people are terrible at it. Learning about yourself and being curious as to how you can improve are good things. Eventually things should click into place for you.
