I have very many awful memories here but also the good ones. It is still my kids anchor, as far as I know. As a home. We have family close. I wanted to burn it down many times but as soon as one of those thoughts come in my head my youngest will ask if he can gets the house when he’s older. It’s funny how kids can save you

Three years in. It’s still strange. But the person I see now. (Hopefully you won’t have to) Is a total stranger to me and was just acting for years.

I bought mine before we were married. The first year of her being gone was weird. The first months were the worst. The quietness with the kids not being around all the time. Blew through a bunch of money going out. Learned to enjoy my peace. Found a couple friends who had been through it. You relate move on. Be careful though. It’s real easy to hate the world and not go out when you get used to it.

Stick to your guns. They try to come back when they realize you moved on.

Divorce sucks, but if you havnt been happy… imagine how you are going to feel in 12 years when your kids are teens. It’s a team effort. Doesn’t seem like you’re getting it from a teammate

She pushed me to the brink where I had to file because she didn’t want to do a thing to work things out. Now she’s pissed I don’t want to reconcile. I was willing to do anything at the time. Now I’m just empty inside.

You’re right. It’s never forgetting. Just moving on. We all have pasts. But you never forget what they did. Sometimes the past just needs to stay there or it will eat you up.

Going through it myself brother. Two years into it. Things do seem to get easier at points. It’s a roller coaster. Message me if ya need someone to talk to who is impartial. Always nice to vent to someone.

True. I felt the same way for a long time. We have kids together so of course she tries to play on my emotions. Walls are way up but we do get along probably better now than before we were dating. But that’s probably because there a kids involved.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
