I guess seasons like this have a way of teaching us things we wouldn't learn otherwise even if they don't feel fair while we're in them.

I can understand how getting used to being on your own might eventually start to feel comfortable maybe even peaceful. I think there's nothing wrong with enjoying your own company as long as it doesn't close the door to meaningful connections when the right people come along.

I agree that taking care of yourself and protecting your time are important. Building a healthy body, staying disciplined and not letting loneliness make every decision can be valuable lessons. I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting a genuine relationship. Wanting love, companionship and someone to share life with is a very human desire.
