The problem is that it depends on who you marry because many, many people settle for partners who they are clearly incompatible with, sexually or otherwise! A sex strike is simply admitting to sexual incompatibility

Interestingly, from what I've seen online, feminists mostly seem to be in favour of it. They argue that it's better as it reduces the risk of sexual violence and rape against women by avoiding situations where highly sexually frustrated men lash out.
