yes but what does that look like, what are some examples or ways that people act that you sympathize with

I don’t think it’s impossible, just saying, you don’t think that it’s a little, dismissive? It also just seems pretty fucking rude. Imagine Someone who has been struggling with this for years and thinks they have tried everything in the book, goes on reddit, and sees ThatBitch telling them to “just make friends” as if it was as easy as breathing. It’s dismissing as hell.

of course sex isn’t the end all be all but they don’t know that. They don’t know that without an emotional connection sex doesn’t to much for most ppl. That’s why I think it’s wrong to be shaming them when all they are trying to do is save their own situation. Also “just make friends” isn’t great advice for the socially inept. Kinda like telling a homeless person to just buy a house. But I agree with you on therapy, that’s definitely something that needs to be explored more by them.

you really think these incels that are starved of connection arent taking their life the leading cause of depression and suicide has ALWAYS been isolation, every 5th fucking post on this sub is abt male suicide rates and incels.

Ik that. I was comparing the reason Women get into versus the Men that purchase. I am saying that human connection is JUST as important to life as paying the bills. yes they get into it for different reasons but you will be equally as dead without it

what do you mean by “socially well adjusted”?

I think they both fit into the latter paragraph, meaning they both are desperate, have limited options, recovering from trauma, ect. Human connection is just as much of a necessity in life as money, so I am sad that either of those groups would have to resort to prostitution, BUT I understand both of them.

congrats, if you’ve taken this guys advice you have now become “that guy that is always trying to fuck his female friends because he confuses friendliness with flirtation”

Dude, loneliness is a feeling not a state of being, you could have tons of relationships and still be lonely on the contrary you could be alone, yet not lonely. Women having access to relationships won’t just make their loneliness disappear.

i think the thought process behind a lot of this is “ i dont love myself enough to not NEED external validation. I genuinely think i need this to believe I matter.”

do you know how hard it is to just “be confident”, i don’t even fully agree with OP here, but casual sex would probably help with the confidence they lack

can i js thank both of you for having a genuine debate of ideals without getting disrespectful, it seems so rare nowadays, especially on this sub

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
