Ok, no need to get heated here. I apologise for my bad wording. You made it sound like it's truly a struggle for you to develop a deep friendship with women, which would totally be reflected in the fact that you said you only have had two women you can have platonic meaningful conversations with. If I made it sound like you were making a stupid claim then I retract that. I definitely shouldn't've used the word all or any other absolute, but I think my general question still stands. You really fe…

I wasn't referring to any of that. I was referring to your statement that there have only been a handful of women that you've ever been able to talk to on a meaningful level. That just surprised me. I'm not trying to dunk on you, hence why I specifically said that if that's your experience then I'm not trying to invalidate it

You're completely right here, you're just forgetting that there's so much more to life than mate selection. I'm not sure why you think that the fact that women don't have to put in as much effort for relationships means that they face no trials and tribulations in life at all. This argument is just a self defeater.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/23 03:03 PM

Obviously. That's where 90% of people like him get their worldviews. They generalise their experiences with women to all women
/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/23 02:57 PM

Amazing reply bro, you annihilated him
/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/23 02:55 PM

Really? All of the meaningful aspects of your life are sex based? You have nothing like a common interest or passion or any other thing that could facilitate a close friendship between you and a woman? If that's your experience then that's fine, but I'd claim you're in the minority there. I think the vast majority of men do have more than very little in common with a decent amount of women out there.

All g then, I guess my incredibly reductive reply to you then is that things aren't as bad as you're describing. Feminism raised the standards for men by making them higher than "have a job". Men need to catch up. Women will always go for the top 20% when it comes to sex but it's logically impossible for more than a the top portion of women to go for the top 10% in terms of dating, because those top 10% will eventually get taken (or won't commit to anyone). I think if the average man does just i…

Ok this has turned into a much broader conversation on redpill and dating issues themselves. Do you want to continue this on discord, insta or any other platform which we can converse in real time on?

Totally fair, I know someone like you so I believe you too. There's nothing wrong with your mindset, I just don't think it's the same for the average guy

I'm gonna need some clarification on how I was handwaving in any capacity. What on earth does most men getting ignored have to do with the fact that most people desire companionship? That's just hypergamy, it has nothing to do with my point

We can put the personal preference thing aside since that's settled. You fundamentally misunderstand the concept of monogamous marriage. Everyone seems to today though, even people who desire it so I guess that's society's fault. I agree that love isn't forever, but that's the essence and beauty of commitment. To stick with your partner even when times are tough and you are not presently attracted to them is literally what it is about. It's the bedrock of monogamy. I understand that you might no…

I'll take your word regarding your own preferences, but even if I do you are a one in a thousand personality. If you're saying love isn't worth it for you then fair enough, but to claim it isn't worth it or is a lie as a general statement for the average man or the average person is to admit an uncanny level of social ineptitude or an equally uncanny level of nativity. Love is absolutely worth it for the average man, it's so baked in to the typical human brain that it just can't not be. To summa…

I understand, most people who discover the redpill go through this woman hating phase for a while. Hopefully later on in life you'll find someone that you can love and learn the wonders of romance while incorporating redpill truths to live a better and happier life. It's the classic story of the modern man, first he thinks love is unconditional, then he takes the redpill and thinks love is beneath him, then after some more experience he realises how fucking naive that worldview is and just how m…

Those aren't mutually exclusive. You can make points that have truth to them but then also describe women as people who are "unfeeling" and "use and discard" men. Maybe both of you need some time to mellow out your worldview. Hypergamy isn't nearly as dystopian as you think it is, women aren't incapable of love lmao

No, I meant the vast majority of swingers would be using condoms or birth control.

I mean if you're swinging and you're not using condoms and or are not on birth control then yeah sure I guess you shouldn't really be surprised. The vast majority of swingers will be though so I still don't understand your point. Before you were talking about how to know the identity of the baby and now you're talking about something completely different, I'm not quite sure what it is that you're trying to say.

You understand that that's a different claim than saying that the average feminist man is a cuckold right? "Pathetic" is probably much more reasonable of an assertion than "literally a cuck" even though I'd disagree with both

There's only one part to the statement "are they wrong though". They are wrong, that is the part

If you mind me asking, how old are you? I know that sounds like a loaded question but I'm genuinely just curious since he's relatively old. I'm not trying to imply anything

Yes you can, you don't need to be a 10/10, as long as you're relatively well dressed, groomed and in shape your looks are not being to be what holds you back from scoring

If by mental health issues you mean to an extent that they're not living balanced, healthy lives then I definitely disagree, and I think most people would as well. People do stupid things, especially as young adults. It's very rare to find hyper promiscuous people that are still promiscuous later in their lives. At least I would claim so. Obviously we each have our opinions though.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/22 06:24 AM

Well of course, if that's your claim then I agree. I was referring to your post though which only asked about people with very high body counts. It's pretty common sense knowledge that people with sex addiction problems will probably not be balanced, healthy individuals, originally I assumed you were just talking about hyper promiscuous people though, not chronic sex addicts
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/22 06:17 AM
2

Not studies. That last claim was anecdotal. The majority of hyper promiscuous people I have met in university have just grown out of it. Everyone in the comments seem to be saying the same thing as well, because I think that's the general experience. I can get you the studies for the first claims about most people regretting promiscuous periods of their lives and promiscuous people generally having worse life outcomes but I assume you already agree with that
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/22 05:52 AM
3

This is not true. Studies do show that most people who are promiscuous do regret their experiences and are generally worse off than non promiscuous people, but "worse than non promiscuous person" does not equal "unhealthy, unbalanced individuals". The vast majority of hyper promiscuous people just end up maturing as people, growing out of a promiscuous lifestyle and settling down into healthy, monogamous relationships. There are obviously exceptions but that's generally what happens.
