I'm really not concerned that much of receiving "I have a boyfriend" (on the contrary, in those past cases, girls were infakably flattered). However my default assumption within social groups is that I get one pick and then any other potential picks will know I've made my move, hence why I'm being tactical.

I should've mentioned that I'm not staying in that gig much longer. In any social setting, I belive being tactical, and coming up with a shortlist before burning down ships, is a good practice.

I see what you're saying. When I come to think of it, all of my past successes are rather attributed to chains of "one thing lead to another" - where a series of minute, and not unlikely, events are facilitated by advantageous climate - then some grand and precise scheme.
