Best thing you can do is go to the party and take control of the situation. Don't ignore her, but give her no admiration, no control over you. The mere fact that you arn't upset over her is the best way to stick it back to her & it'll help you move on to the next one.

I guess I didnt explain myself clearly but these men I've mentioned before put no effort in getting hot girls and yet they have attractive girlfriends. I have yet to find the right medication, therapist, friends, line of thinking that has made things better

It's the only things I feel really anxious about anymore though and I have no control over it

It's certainly the trend, effort leads to zero results

The last time I went 'face-first' was six months ago and I'm still recovering over that. I'm not sure if that's the best method

You're partially right in that I am feeling depressed that I dont have the courage to approach a girl (asking out I dont have a problem with), but I'm depressed from... a bunch of shit that happened 5 years ago. I've been confortably numb for the 4 of of those five years. The last year I've dropped the drugs and the therapy. I wasnt getting worse, but I wasnt progressing. I was stuck in this, for lack of a better term, a numb purgatory zombie like state. So I said fuck that and went on my own wh…

Ive tried changing my attitude and I've gone down this conversational route more than many times with people. It always leads me to the conclusion; unless I was a completely different person things would be different. Regardless of my efforts things will be the same for me and better for others

I dont have any friends that would be a wing man unfortunately. I guess I just dont have that courage or the capacity to forget about things and move on

I appreciate what you're saying, but the last time I took a chance, feeling good that I'm at least trying, I didnt just get rejected I got scolded. Everytime I'm in a situation where I can try again I freeze, think to that example and I just go down the rabbits whole of other things I've tried but fucked up on. Then I just leave... That last attempt was 6 months ago

I dont stare, but I do exactly that if i lock eyes I'll just give a smile. Unfortunately you're advice is a lot like a lot of advice I get on here which is too extreme. It's like telling someone who is deathly afraid of heights to get over it and go sky diving. I completely stoped for 6 months because I've tried to go all in and I start having anxiety attacks. So I'm looking at ways to build my confidence because honestly I dont have a lot of success stories for my confidence to have any foundat…

I can say I've been "that guy". I stopped an engagement turning into a marriage. I hate everything about cheating, but I honestly feel like I did that guy a favor.

I'm kinda going through a similar situation right now, I've been dating this girl for about a month and I've taken charge in the relationship so far (making plans, what we're going to do, etc.), but we have a 30min drive distance between us, which to me isnt a big deal. But her texting etiquette sucks to a point were I feel so beta going to her when texting because I'm always going to her. So I just stopped for a week I never received anything from her, but all my friends told me I should contac…

If I may interject my two cents real quick, even though the images are set up in the way showing women at home and men at war I would like to bring attention to the women that serve in the military. So for me the message I perceived was less 'men who serve and die while women who are back home suffer' and more (almost satirical) images attached with 'problems' vs real suffering and issues. Which, for me, doesn't really line up with Hillary Clinton's quote. For the 'home front images' to be more …
