I agree that rejecting based on height is worse than on weight, but I don’t understand the point that you are trying to make. It is still a double standard because they are judging you based on a thing that you cannot control and they are judging you on something that cant be controlled. I dont have the words to explain this well. Basically they are jusging you more harshly than you are judging them and on stuff they cant control. I dont know how else to say it.

Well at least they are recognizing the problem now.

You also have to take into account people not reporting it. It may be a skewed statistic that he is using.

Therapists can help guide you to a solution.

I don’t see the problem with the original post, more women go to therapy than men. It isn’t a bad thing to go to therapy.

For example, you don’t like a company because you don’t like some of their employees. That doesn’t mean that you hate everyone in the company, just the company itself.

I think it’s fair to hate feminism because of some people in it. Just don’t hate all of the people in it.

It’s a bit disingenuous to get angry at comedians for old jokes that didn’t age well.

It might be the shadows that make it look like a lump. I looked and it seems like and indent.

She wasn’t blocking her face and every time she advanced, she let her hands drift to the sides of her body. She was inviting the slap or punch or whatever.

At least the public didn't side with the women when he decided to defend himself. Small victories.

Youre starting to sound like a broken record. And nobody is forcing gender roles on anybody by telling them to smile.

I put myself in their shoes, it doesnt bother me. I am plenty empathetic towards people that have real problems. This smiling thing doesnt matter in the slightest, people say worse shit all the time, get over yourself. I dont have anything to say about this part other than these people need to grow thicker skin. Who gives a fuck what anybody else says about you? Why does their input matter, they dont know you, you dont know them, their opinion is irrelevant at this point in time. This got a litt…

Your argument against me is, "Look it up." I know what empathy is, retard. I dont see its relevance. Same as gender roles. And even if you asked me to google it, why the fuck would I, who are you? Why should I listen? Your argument makes no sense to me because as of right now, it is you telling me to look up two things that have no importance to what we are discussing. It frustrates me, I would like you to tie empathy and gender roles into the argument.

He isnt complaining about people telling him to smile. He is stating that this is a non-problem. He then says that because it is a non-problem, only people with no real problems complain about it.

If I am asked to smile more, me complying or refusing has no meaningful impact on anyone's life. This is not a question of empathy. I also fail to see how smiling has anything to do with gender roles. If you could explain how it relates to empathy or gender roles (how it affects you and those around you in a negative way) I would be grateful. Smiling makes you feel better about going about day to day subconsciously. Smiling also makes you seem more open and people are more likely to reciprocate …

That was one example, if a random person told me on the street told me to smile, it wouldn't bother me, and I dont see how it could bother anyone else.

Agreed, if you work in customer service and your boss tells you to smile at the customers, that isnt sexist. There is nor reasonable way to get angry at someone telling you to smile.

I mean you are right, but more women get angry over this and believe that it is acceptable to flip out.

Yes, it shows extreme cases, but i wouldnt say 99 percent of women dont act like this, id say its more like 80-90 percent. I also dont think that this sub says anything about all women acting like this, its just examples of women not getting away scotfree with bullshit like this just because they were a woman.

She wasnt getting hurt enough. She thinks that she could just take the blows. A false sense of security.

With the inexperience, i think its best to go for the stomach and neck, knock the wind out of her. Its like tear gas or pepper spray, it takes them out of the fight mentally, all they can think about is how they cant breathe. Opens a huge window of opportunity to run.
