You're right. Learn. The only way her shit test and frame had power was wholly the power I freely handed over to her. From that my moodiness and but-hurtedness grew when she continued to hold the power/frame that she shouldn't even have had to begin with.

Yep. "I don't want you in them" was a frame she built. I didn't like her frame and made her modify it with some PA and blue pill BS. I should have instead ignored it completely.

I was firmly blue pill disney christian "marriage is forever" happy wife happy life white knight rescuer at that time. Pre-dates reddit. I had a bad feeling in my gut, a feeling like my life was over, but thought it was just butterflies. Hindsight is 20/20 and all that.

I say she made it clear I wasn't to be there, and asked if that changed. She leaves. This holding pattern repeats two more times and then she asks why I won't talk about it. "I'm here, let's talk.". A comfort test about family follows. paraphrased, "Why won't you tolerate my shit because FAMILY! You don't care about us! Show me you'll help me care for our children while you watch us spend your money taking photos I haven't yet decided you can be in." I see it was passsive-agressive of me to try …

Exactly. Fourth night in a row she turned me down for intimacy. She told me to get the baby, I said "You get to say no, I get to say no". She threw a hissy fit, pulled me out of bed, I got back in. She said we're divorcing, I said "OK", went to sleep, and made it public next day. Day later she conceded and I said we're doing this therapy thing.

This was the third time she used divorce to manipulate me. First two I was a pussy. Third time I had been reading manosphere for a bit and had a divorce plan that was still a couple years out. I agreed and made it public to our families and church. She captipulated and I gave her a choice of marriage counselors that specialized in sex therapy. At that point I was convinced the lack of sex was the problem.

I'm not DEERing to her. Doing it here to isolate and kill that part of me.

I've never had BJ. Cue sob story of her convicted sexual abuser father. Fact is she is allowing him to control our sex life, decades later, and that is not acceptible, but I'm not yet in a place to tell her that.

I know I fucked up, I certainly have some knowledge not to repeat the cycle, but I learned it's either not enough knowlegde or not enough strength to apply it. Possibly both, but I need to start somewhere.

I was butthurt and annoyed. A month ago I would have emailed this to the couples therapist and she would have thumb-tapped back a sentence fragment from her iphone twelve hours later, only to be complely ignored by next session. What a waste that was. MRP kept me more sane than couples therapy could have alone... so I guess I'm reaching out for a swift and just flogging.

I fogged and did not feel a need to explain my shaving choice. WISNIFG. My therapy covert contract has been recgonized as such. You see there is more.. I don't see... so it seems I need to do some re-reading. I also didn't ask any question, so maybe should have posted to just MRP, but that seems to be heavy on theory and not much application... I don't post/read the OYS there, perhaps I should?

Exactly right. I should have done things away from home. I sat on my ass and opened a book because poking the tablet could have appeared to be gaming and low value. Then I wound up in her frame, and by extension in the fucking picture frame. I should have just left. DGAF what story she makes up when someone asks why I'm not in the picture.

I'm much less verbose in person than in type. Play by play above is exactly what happend at the mirror, but my DEER and "show me you want to be in this family" comfort/shit test that came after she found a frame to put around me were fairly brief, but yes, horrible.

Shit. I just typed a wall of text. Fuck me, I've victim puked. At least I didn't do it in front of the wife to a couples therapist... THAT was a bad idea.

The way I shaved that morning is the way I always do when it's not November--nothing passive agressive here. She wanted a higher level of hairlessness for the pictures. The agreement to shave that morning was weeks before when the appointment was made, before she even knew I was a couple days into NSN. The cheekbone modifier went above that agreement, and was soundly rejected. Your absolutely right that my lack of committment to follow through on it is a problem. I think my biggest failures were…

Yes. Especially when the childhood abuse was sexual by a trusted family member, then "fixed" by the state splitting the family. Control freak is putting it lightly, but have seen some fruit by applying the pill in conjunction with a specialized sex therapist.

Read up on the hormones involved in breastfeeding, particularly oxytocin. You're wife is getting a dose of this "love hormone" with every feeding, and prior to the children you were the primary source. This isn't to say that you have to end the feedings--i've heard on a human maturity scale in proportion to other primates it would end seven years after birth, and you'd never generate the hormone to the levels of a single feeding. Forcing the issue could also cause resentment, but one thing you c…
