No. Why should they just "get to be awesome" while you leech off them? Make your own glory story. Go by baby steps. Find a way to become awesome yourself. Putting yourself below someone as a person fucking sucks.

Anyone who seriously says this in a social situation with people that haven't fallen on their head as a baby, will be looked at as a weirdo at best. It's never a good thing to see things in black and white. I've learned this the hard way myself in a different field
