Maybe he really wants to be with you too but isn't in a place where he can be, so he broke it off. Not really cool to do it after all yall did, if that's the case. Maybe you should ask him why he felt he needed to end it. Ask him to be honest because self-improvement is important to you and you want to learn from this experience. What the hell. Just because you suck doesn't mean none of this is effective. Social engineering works. So does reading body language. When you spend all of your time thinking about it and losing your sense of presence in the moment is when it doesn't, or overthinking as you call it. Everyone on every level shit tests to make sure they're not getting screwed. In just about every interaction you have that involves a system with some measure of trust. This can happen consciously or subconsciously.

I don't agree. On a biological level, men and women are fundamentally different, with the males being the stronger of the species. The standards shouldn't be the same for physicality, but if they have to drop it significantly beyond what is reasonable and acceptable for the position, then there is a problem.
