"celebrate openly but suffer in silence" is possibly the second most solid suggestion I've seen on this sub. It belongs just below "lift". (at least for my particular path) Thanks for the reminder.

Does defy use HCG along with testosterone in their protocol?

Gee whiz, I wish I'd realized it was flair endorsed before opening my big mouth. /s Nothing personal, just noting my experiential discrepancy.

I just can't convince myself this is accurate for everyone. I just now very carefully measured and it says I'm at 17%. I don't buy it.

My apologies. I concede defeat to your chode expertise.

Wait a sec... Did you just write something to help me improve myself rather than lament and decry the treacherously hypergamous female nature? Nice. Thanks.

As someone whose house is paid for, I'd be curious to hear you further explain the 3% down, PMI is worth it advice?

Next level. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006Z8H0UO They're only about $6 and they look great. Nice tight neck and fitted sleeves. This one is about a year old and has seen a lot of workouts and washing. https://m.imgur.com/hbbRcvS (Bulking. So yes, I'm always eating...)

I wouldn't say it doesn't mean anything. But it does mean he's a little lower in what seems to be the primary motivational fuel source around here.

Yup. Have you raised one? Doesn't sound like it. If you did, I'll bet everyone always dreaded when you'd bring them around.

Not that this is #1 on your priority list, but never reward a screaming child by picking them up or otherwise offering comfort. You're teaching them to behave that way.

Hiding your books like a little boy with girly magazines... If you can't own it, you probably have no business reading it. Besides, if you're improving, who cares what your girl thinks.

Incidentally, I appreciated your insightful post on daddy issue types the other day. I'm not sure why it was deleted but I came to realize something about my wife that has puzzled me for the 25 years we've been married.

Naa man I ate amazingly well for many years. It came easy to me, but all that did was keep me from getting fat. Now this lifting stuff on the other hand.., I've only been at this for about 5 months, but this takes a lot more effort. As in, I've never busted my ass this hard at anything in my whole life.

Have you ever heard of someone that can't (outside of injury) get sore? Because that's where I find myself. I can lift until I'm on the floor. Not sore.

It's more like 20 sets per day now. http://imgur.com/qQHK5GB As my weights and reps have increased, my sets have decreased. That being said, keep in mind 1. I'm middle age 2. I've never done anything like this before. I assure you that my intensity is maxed out.
/r/askMRP10/08/17 09:20 PM

I assure you that I lift hard 2 hours (sometimes 3) per day "sans juice". I do rest 2 to 3 minutes between sets.
/r/askMRP10/08/17 07:07 PM

Yeah. Pathetically. I hope to change that.

I thrive on ritual, discipline, structure and organization. Lifting and diet have only contributed positively to my peace of mind. I'm grateful for the incessant encouragement from this community to lift, that finally convinced me to give it a try.

Thanks man. I can't say that I've not considered it and researched gear quite extensively, but in the end, I just can't get comfortable with the expense, effort, safety and long term sustainability of pinning. I'm not saying I'll not change my mind at some point but these modest gains are entirely the results of a mere 200 or so hours of my time that I'd probably have otherwise just wasted anyway. Avoiding pizza helps too.

4 sets of everything with 2 to 3 minutes rest between sets. I just don't have the steam to go any faster. Keep in mind I'm 45 and have never in my life been active before this year.

Sounds solid. I am gradually increasing my calories. I'm 45 and 2300 is probably by far the highest I've ever averaged. I'm just doing a PPL routine. Increasing weight every time I get in the 12 rep range. I'm seeing pretty reasonable 4 month gains for an old man that's never done anything physical. http://imgur.com/k8vlydW

Interestingly, lifting seems to have crushed my always previously more than ample libido.

I dunno... I know a 4 that just married an 8. He could probably drop to a 2 if he "worked" at it.

This is an astounding truth. Life hands us "fitness tests" daily. These are frequently just opportunities to demonstrate a capacity to dispassionately and sometimes cleverly, at minimum mitigate, if not entirely obliterate some obstacle that's in our way. It's often difficult to realize in the heat of the moment just how inconsequential these situations are (if handled correctly), but gaining this perspective makes OI almost automatic, and many times what appeared to be a serious complication, s…

I'm 45. Never been fat. Never lifted. Have been married for 25 good years. Stumbled on MRP, began lifting, and suddenly my marriage has gone to a whole new level. The importance of lifting simply can't be overstated.

This book seems to have been a component in a series of events that has ultimately resulted in my being married to an entirely different wife who, I think, is actually the same person. She has always been high value but now she is so perfect I'm not entirely sure how to even respond half the time.

I can't say enough good things about standing while having sex. Her on her back on the edge of the bed or bent over the bed. Both work really really well.
/r/askMRP16/06/17 10:54 AM

Umm those are indeed "rejonkulous" 4 week lift gains.
/r/MarriedRedPill31/05/17 03:16 PM

I completely agree and not to minimize the importance of acta non verba, but for anyone who has been married for any length of time, YOUR WIFE KNOWS YOU. Without me ever speaking a word of intent, my wife can smell my slightest INTERNAL inconsistency. It may be that my wife watches me more closely than what would be average, but she basically reads my thoughts with alarming accuracy. Her abilities in this area are likely also enhanced to some extent by 18 years of exposure to our house full of b…

I was once out walking next to the ocean during the worst of a hurricane (seemed like right thing to do at the time). I definitely had to lean into it to stay vertical. Your comment conjures up memories, except the blowing rain and sand have been replaced by something much worse.
/r/askMRP18/05/17 09:48 PM

Standing changed my life. 1.5 to 2 hours is average now.

Speaking from the perspective of someone who has a pretty-close-to-perfect housewife, I'll note that this arrangement caaaan add tremendous value to your life, but this sub leads me to believe my situation is exceptional. I'm pretty sure that if you're not already your woman's #1 priority and raising children isn't a fairly close #2, then you're likely to be disappointed. Any tendency toward discontentment or motivational, emotional, or other irrational and illogical defects will likely be ampli…

While we can't be sure exactly how this conversation went (there's definitely a wrong way to do this), sometimes verbalizing expectations in such situations, in advance, can avoid a real headache down the road.

End to end, independently expert verified, open source encryption. Im not sure anything else equivalent exists.
/r/MarriedRedPill02/05/17 03:48 PM

Two words for those texts that you'd rather not hit your (or your girl's) phone's filesystem unencrypted. Signal Messenger (and it's built in camera).
/r/MarriedRedPill02/05/17 03:38 PM

It isn't that unusual for resulting testicular atrophy to not entirely reverse post cessation (without HCG). Particularly in those of us who are getting up there in years.
/r/MarriedRedPill01/05/17 07:02 PM
1

I realize this, but both prevent the cessation of natural production. HCG via direct stimulation and AI by inhibiting the feedback loop. That being said, I'm definitely more comfortable with the HCG route simply because it's just a normal hormone rather than a synthetic substance whose long term effects are not entirely known.
/r/MarriedRedPill01/05/17 06:58 PM

This actually is an issue but it can be mitigated with Aromatase Inhibitors or hcg injections.
