Yeah, I'm in total agreement with you. One would think that a 911 call center would be somewhat strict with regards to this type of scenario <duh>. I'm not excusing anyone's poor behavior, just explaining how it could happen from a tech perspective. One of the call centers I worked at for a long time had a situation where some agents were hanging up on people pretty much immediately after connection in order to reduce their overall average handle time. Once we got wind of it, all we had to do wa…

Probably because the mgrs and/or QA have their call queries set up for calls a certain length of time. In order to weed out the drops and such. But with the tech, I would assume they could have determined the difference between agent hangups and dropped calls. Especially given that 911 still dispatches someone on hangups, don't they? While the attorney's claims of poor management are probably exaggerated, someone sure wasn't paying attention for a long time.

Yes, I saw his remarks. I usually don't even engage with people like that. He's probably watched too much TV and lives in some suburb.

Yeah, the closest I got to TV was passing through to get to Ft. DeSoto park for beach and/or fishing, lol. Yeah, I don't look down on people whether they are rich or poor. People with money can act the same way as people with less money. (Not saying that you do, just agreeing with your point)

Yeah, I liked living in PP better than most of the areas on the Tampa side. It wasn't great nor was it bad. Close to the beaches without waterfront prices. Of course, I'm not loaded so Tierra Verde wasn't an option.

Yes, not surprising at all. Frustrating as hell, but not surprising. I spent over 20 years in one form of corporate customer service, most of it with a bank in their credit card department. It really seems like we live in upside-down world sometimes. The indignant entitlement many of these people display is appalling. But the system is setup in such a way that some lazy, amoral people can readily take advantage of it with little to no repercussions.

Very true. If less people gamed the system, there would actually be a better safety net for folks that really need it. I don't mind a systemic safety net for those that truly need it if our country and citizens are financially healthy. But the staggering amount of fraud and manipulation is truly infuriating.

Most dysfunctional behavior is counterproductive. The post to which you replied unfortunately makes plenty of sense.

So, let the government regulate and license kids to be able to consent to sex. There's so much wrong with this idea...

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
