Hooking up is fun. One of my friends invites new guys over from dating apps which is extremely crazy to me. But I personally get horny and hook up with people too who I have no intention of dating. I mean are you sure it's brainwashing though? I have people who would date me in a heartbeat but I'm not attracted to them. I have a career and am capable of paying all my bills. Why would I want to live with an underwhelming man and having to deal with him every day?
