You left your ex for a reason. If he has NPD, change is possible, but unlikely I would say. I know sometimes its hard to let go, even of the things that hurt us because its what we know. But if I were you, I would take this chance with this wonderful sounding guy to create new memories. Also, always continue to work on yourself :) Best of luck to you

See about getting a part time job and renting a room or something to get out of there ASAP

I see what your saying, I just meant if you had to spend the whole relationship trying to prove your value...

Good point! Although if someone didnt see any value in me, instead of trying to prove my value I would just move on, because that is a recipe for a bad relationship from the start.

True, I thought I was hot shit back in my early 20's. Reality check is now that I am 31 with enough baggage to fill an airport terminal... I may look still 23 and like a 7.5, but my past and currently marketability would put me at a 3

My husband and I, are both early 30's with kids. We are very social and on the weekend we love having company over and we throw back a few drinks and play spades among other board games/cards at home. We hate bars and clubs. Maybe find that balance.

For me, vulnerability was opening up and allowing myself the potential to be hurt. As Brene Brown said, "I define vulnerability as uncertainty, risk, and emotional exposure."

Maybe take a bus or bike to the gym?

That is a really hard question. Maybe look into other locations? Living abroad would be ideal, but maybe come up with a back up plan of somewhere closer but better than were you are at now?

Something I will tell you, my looks are like a 7.5 but my personality would make me a 3 at best. Looks arent everything. My husband would want me in better shape, but if I was a good women he would rather me fat then say, unfaithful. But since your concerned, fit chicks are hot. Even if your face isnt that isnt pretty, you can compensate with a good body and a healthy amount of confidence

I never said I was upset about him not believing me, I said it was a point of contention. Meaning, he might not accept an apology because he believes me to still me lying. I never said it was unreasonable. Just a point of contention. He married me to be monogamous, he did not want other people in our relationship. The deal he signed up for was a faithful, sweet wife that would stay at home and raise his kids. Since I have broken the marriage contract, now he doesnt want that anymore. But I did j…

-I pointed out the ways I have changed earlier. I referenced them to show you where I am at, the good, the bad, and the ugly. The ugly, beyond my past, is I need to completely change my framework of how I think. This is why I came to RPW. I need to get my head out of the clouds, accept that no one owes me anything, to STFU about emotions that have no relevancy and to grow up and accept responsibility as a women. As I said earlier, I do love my husband now, recognize that I have royally messed th…

Controlling my emotions is my greatest challenge, and I know the majority of mine start with a faulty frame work of thinking that usually involves self pity, feeling like the victim and/or self hatred. I need a logical way of thinking and to dismiss emotions that are not based in reality.

No, this is what I need. People who will be straight with me, help me to get over victim mentality, feminism, and take responsibility. I was a piece of shit but I don't want to continue to be. I want to he a woman he can at least (even if somewhat) appreciate.

My husband use to fool around with other women, while I did not. The dynamics were horrible, and I could not handle watching the man that had once pledged his love to me with someone else. i would have panic attacks when he was spending the night with his FWB. I constantly felt like I wasnt enough, that the other women was prioritized over me. I became resentful and depressed because he would do things with them that he wouldnt with me. I lost my self-value when he told me that he would fantasiz…

Be there when he asks, be attentive to read him if he wants me to "chase him". I noticed that something my husbands likes it when I initiate, otherwise give him his space. I cook him his favorites meals, and keep his drinks refilled.

Staya virgin until marriage, I so badly wish I had. Learn to cook, take a class, home ec, something and/or practice. Work out. Read self-help books.

I would have told myself that I was worth loving, that someone else out there would love me, that I just needed to wait for him. And to check into counseling to avoid the future drug addiction and other issues I had later in life

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
