So far the advice seems to either meet them in conventions or hobby clubs (some of them can be pretty crazy from my experience) or just live life and hopefully when we strike up a conversation somewhere we can find the right one. You are absolutely right though, this girl sounds like she'll have to be my best friend also, someone that is willing to do all the same hobbies you do and spend lots of time together. I've never though of hooking up before at a convention because I've always gone there with the intent to enjoy the content.
