Exactly. He gets all the benefits of having a wife without having to buy a ring and plan a wedding? He's probably thinking, "score"! Why would he ask her to marry him when there's really no added benefit to doing so?

I used to check out the askmen subreddit from time to time and they could never grasp this concept. They would make excuses to continue using it. How about this simple concept: if someone says they don't like being called a certain term, no matter the reason, just stop calling them that term. Seriously. They claim to be simple creatures, but they apparently can't grasp that simple concept. People don't owe you an explanation for why they don't want to be referred to in that way. Just stop. And n…

My mother made it practically a requirement for me to go to college so I could get a degree, get a career, and make my own money so I never had to financially depend on a man, ever. She helped put my dad through school instead of getting a degree for herself. The idea was that putting all the time, energy, and money into his career would benefit the whole family. So, he went on to get a degree, a lifelong career and make good money, while she jumped from multiple office administration jobs, maki…

This sounds like one of those people who defines their entire life by the relationship they're in and they think you're only successful in life if you're in a relationship. She sounds terrified of being single, so she'd rather make excuses for staying in an unhappy in a relationship than spend even one second being single. It's sort of sad...

It's hard to accept, but sometime you have to let people learn their lessons the hard way. We can try and help, but we can't control them.

I need more women to look up to who live life on their own terms. I usually really admire other childfree women who seem to be focusing on their own goals, with or without a man around. Question, I really like Dita Von Teese, but is she high-value? She has done naked BDSM photo shoots in the past, but idk. She's built a career around being a burlesque performer in a day and age where that's not possible for a lot of other people, though! She kicked her drug-addict husband to the curb, and she co…

Maybe if you just ask things like "are you happy with him", "does he treat you well or like you think you should be treated", "is he someone who you would let your friend/daughter date"? Maybe not all at once, but once in a while when she complains about him just ask her one of these and hopefully she will sit and think about it. You don't have to push her or bash him, but just pose some questions to her to get her to think about how he's treating her.

I'm a Christian and I'd like to find a good, Christian HVM, but not one like this. He may call himself a Christian, but he's using the teachings of other Christian men that came before him and using the Bible to control and abuse this girl. Tale as old as time really. Men have used religion to control women and children for centuries. They use it for their benefit and if their woman falls out of line, not only is she disappointing him, she's "disappointing God". They use the fear of damnation to…

I hope he's not someone's dad. Imagine being raised by this trash.

I think I came to the conclusion the other day that all of history can be summed up by men entering dick measuring contests with each other. It's always been about the male ego, how fragile it is, and how men will do anything not to have their own ego hurt. In the process, everyone else - including the planet - has suffered greatly.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
