It's a combination of societal expectations, benefits to the family, tax incentives, etc. A married couple, statistically, tends to perform better on almost any measurable metric than non-married people, even if they cohabitate. This includes income, net worth, life expectancy, the well-being of children as they grow, and their prospects in life. I actually hope she ends up cheating and dumping him for someone else, because I know someone who is in a terrible relationship with a crazy girlfriend, and frankly I see a lot of similarities between their "relationship" and this post. Gotta love this comment: Pretty clear it's just a bunch of losers who want to blame all of their shortcomings on women. Even though TRP tells people the reason women aren't in relationships with you/treating you well is because you're behaving in a manner women find very unattractive and that you're the one who needs to change into someone women will like.
